Its crazy how unempathetic people are towards smokers these days. I'm not talking people who smoke in non-designated areas or or near children or whatever, just people who smoke. Yes, it can be kind of gross, but you know what's more disgusting? Treating them less than human for it.

It is an addiction, people cannot turn it off, the structure and chemical make up of your brain is altered with addiction. Anyone can be addicted to anything, there is nothing fundamentally different from people with addictions than people without. You are not above addiction or addicts for treating them beneath you, you're just an unempathetic asshole.

i am guilty of being a cigarette smoker and i have some questions for other smokers. i've read a lot of studies about cigarettes reducing appetite and even boosting metabolism, but ive gained a lot of weight in the past year since i've been steadily smoking. there are a lot of other things it could be attributed to, but smoking is the only major change lifestyle wise. does anyone else have increased appetite and loss of motivation after smoking??
