Hei! I want to learn Norwegian, but when I was doing reseach I descovered that there's Bokmål, Nynorsk and Riksmål and lots of other dialects and now I'm super confused what to learn. What do you suggest? x

If you want to learn how to write in Norwegian, I suggest Bokmål. That’s the one that’s mostly used. If you want to speak Norwegian, the dialect you get usually changes based on wear you learn it, so the best tip I can give you, is just to learn it . I can help you if anything, both with writing and speaking.

I have a “sørlending” dialect, which is the one they speak in the south. It might seem a bit similar to Danish, but it’s not; they speak as if they have potatoes in their throats. The ones that are most known, are the one from Oslo, Trondheim, Stavanger, and Bergen, but the one from Oslo is the most “normal” one. The others are very unique and might be a bit difficult, but idk.
