Anna and Matthew are my two least favourite characters - and the new snippet basically fuelled my dislike even more. Since Anna is a goner now, let's hope Matthew still has hope in COI.

ooh i actually didn’t mind matthew through most of chog. i mean sure, sometimes it seems like most of his personality is being drunk and hating himself for some mYstErIoUs reason, but tbh he was interesting enough. the only point where i started to dislike him was towards the end because of what he did to alastair :( also apparently he was racist to alastair in gotsm but idk i haven’t read that lol

as for anna- i really liked her at the start of chog- like she was my favourite character lmao. and as the book went on, i tried to just headcanon all the weird stuff she did away (like her “rule” abt only having sex with a woman once??) just because i wanted to like her so badd. idk i’m probably gonna try to headcanon this whole scene away as well so i can enjoy the book 😭😭

Loved kazs development emotionally through soc and ck. Love how he seemed to understand subconsciously that even though he thought of Inej as his wraith and his girl he ultimately knew she did t belong to anyone and the greatest thing he could do for her was try to restore the things she had before her autonomy was ripped away. First time I’ve been so happy to see a ship not get together (haven’t read any other grishaverse so forgive me if I’m wrong).

Yeah same what I loved about them was that they realised that only Kaz could heal himself.

“She would fight for him, but she could not heal him. She would not waste her life trying.”

She wants him to be a better man and realises that nobody can bring about that change but Kaz himself. Only he is capable of removing his “armour”. Like you said, Kaz also realises this, considering he buys her a whole ship so that she can go AWAY from him. She doesn’t sacrifice her dream of hunting slavers for him.

BUT, I’m pretty sure they are still going to get together. It’s just going to take time.

So yeah- it’s implied that they will still be together after the end of CK.

Also same- I haven’t read the other Grishaverse books yet but I plan to. I just finished crooked kingdom a few days ago lolololl.
