“I still don’t get why you’re doing this.” A solemn voice spoke from the open doorway. Harry was packing the remaining of his belongings into the last box. There were already a few boxes of his things piled up near the front door, all set and ready to go when he was.
Harry sighed as he moved around the room grabbing his last minutes things such as his small knick knacks, his alarm clock and the book he was currently reading. “I’ve already told you Lou.” He said as he tossed the items into the box.
Louis shuffled on his feet as he watched Harry scan the room for the last time for anything he might have missed. “It still doesn’t make sense.” Louis tried to protest.
“I need a break from all this Lou.” He explained for the hundredth time. He looked at Louis pointedly before he broke the gaze and went to move around the box.
“That doesn’t mean you have to move out.” Louis objected.
Harry sighed, “Yes, it does Lou.” He grunted as he picked up the small box and carried it pass Louis. Louis trailed after Harry as he led the way down the hallway and to the front door where he dropped the box carefully on the already growing pile. “There’s too much pressure on me right now and I want to get away from it for a while.” He continued
“So have a weekend holiday! You don’t have to pack up and leave all together.” Louis cried, desperate for his friend to not leave him alone.
“Louis, a weekend holiday won’t be able to take the stress off me. This is going to be following me around forever. The least I can do is move away from the rest of the band so I can have my own place where I don’t need to worry about being in a band.” Harry gritted out. Louis knew that Harry’s patience was slowly running thin, but he still kept trying.
“Harry, you’re not the only one dealing with this pressure. The rest of the band –“
“The rest of the band doesn’t get it as bad as me!” Harry yelled, throwing his hands in the air, cutting Louis off.
“Don’t hold anything back huh Harry.” Louis mocked, feeling his own patience starting to crumble.
“It’s true Louis and you know it.” Harry gritted out glaring right into Louis’ eyes.
“We’re all feeling it Harry!”
“Not as bad as me! You know, maybe – maybe I’m tired of having all these girls throwing themselves at me. And m-maybe I also don’t like having the most parts of a song to sing, you and Nialler have great voices and I don’t understand why they don’t give you more parts instead. Maybe I don’t –“ He broke off, pulling in a deep breath before he continued.
“Maybe I don’t like having to always keep a smile on my face as girls plaster themselves onto me, having to constantly hear my name being screamed out, why can’t they chant your name instead?” He stumbled over his words frantically, trying to push them all out in one go.
“And the recent one,” He cried and gave out a short mock laugh. “Wanting me to be pushed into being the front man?! We’re a band! Don’t people understand that? We’re meant to be on the same level, equal! I’m not meant to be the head boy and I most definitely am not supposed to have the most pressure out of you lot.” He cried in disbelief at the last fact.
“I don’t need that and being around you lot reminds me of all that.” He finished. Harry’s chest rose and fell rapidly from his out blow. Sure he wasn’t the only one with the pressure, he knew that, but the others probably didn’t get the same amount as he did otherwise they were just better at dealing with it than he was.
Louis stared at Harry after his blow before he shook his head and turned to leave the room. “Nice to know that you could come to us for a chat Haz, just lock the door on your way out.”
Harry watched Louis retreat down the hallway and winced when he heard his bedroom door slam. He ran his hands through his hair a few times and released a shaky breath. He’d deal with Louis later, he thought.
He continued on to move the boxes out into the apartment hallway and by the elevator. The removals could deal with them now. He walked back into his shared apartment and back down the hallway towards his and Louis’ rooms. He hesitated at Louis’ door but shook his head and moved on to his own room, well, his old room now. He grabbed his overnight bag from his bed and slung it over his shoulders and picked up the last suitcase and dragged it out of the room behind him. He turned once more to glance into the room for the last time then went on to leave it behind him.
He was walking back down the hallway when a body was crushed roughly against him. He cried out in shock till he realized that Louis had flung his door open and wrapped his arms around Harry’s neck, burying his face in Harry’s shoulders. Harry smiled softly before he lifted his free arm to hug Louis back.
The hug didn’t last long though as Louis let go of Harry and walked back into his own room. Louis wasn’t going to stand there to send Harry off when he didn’t agree with it in the first place. He wasn’t going to take any part or show his support in something he didn’t want to happen. Harry watched Louis get into his bed then turned back to the hallway.
Harry went on to leave the apartment, stepping over the threshold and not forgetting to lock the door behind him.
A/N: I don’t know if Harry really is moving out or not but the rumor gave me an idea for a fic so TADA! I'm pretty sure he isn't moving out by the way ;)
Everything in this story is just that, a story. This doesn't relay any of my thoughts about them. Yes Niall and Louis need more solos but I also think that the parts the boys already have suits them perfectly. They just need parts that their voiced can enhance. Just wanted to clear that out.
I hope you guys enjoyed it, if not … thanks for reading anyways and sorry fo wasting you time ?
heh heh :)
