Here’s a cute commission I got from the lovely goddess PinkandSunset.

My favorite pair are in their 20s with mommy having a nice healthy bump of their new baby girl. They been waiting 9 months for this moment and the parents can’t wait to meet the newest edition to their growing family.

Nigel and Rachel’s relationship

Since everyone is doing their own version of Numbuh 1 and 362′s relationship I figure I want to do one too.

Relationship type: In my headcanon I imagine Numbuh 1 and Numbuh 362 would have a husband and wife since when their off-duty they’re usually sleep in the same bed together, stay in the same room even when the other isn’t there, etc.

The worker: Numbuh 1 usually does all the hardwork though that’s not to say Numbuh 362 doesn’t pull her own weight around the treehouse when she’s off-duty.

The cooker: Rachel, Obviously. Nigel isn’t a very good cook where as Rachel is really good at it, but that’s because her mom and grandma (on her dad’s side) taught her to cook at an early age and she sometime cooks for the Kids Next Door where she receive tons of praises and every operative are quick to run to the Moonbase cafeteria whenever they hear she’s gonna cook breakfast or dinner. She’s teaching Numbuh 1 how to cook and he’s... getting there, but it’ll be a long while before she ever in trust her stomach into him.

Nurse/Doctor: It depend on which one of them is sick. Rachel is more knowledgeable about medical and taking care of people since most of her family works in the medical field and during her early cadet years she worked along side Fanny who was apart of the KND medical center before they were promoted to Spy and Head of Decommission by Numbuh 274.

Most Athletic: Both. Numbuh 1 has always been an action person and always prefer to go on missions than relaxing at home or going to the beach to the rest of his team dismay. Numbuh 362 come from a family of military people who, just like Numbuh 1′s dad and mom, were former kids next door operatives with his mom and dad being on the same team as Numbuh 1′s dad, Numbuh 0. Let’s also not forget she was the best spy of the Kids Next Door (According to Numbuh 86) before being promoted to Supreme Leader following Chad’s betrayal.

The smartest: Numbuh 362 since she have the highest grade in her school (Gallagher Classical) and is in the top 5 smartest kids in the tri-country area and is the top 20 smartest kids in the state of Virginia. She wins almost every spelling bee she enters, part of the debate team, and is the hallmaster for her school, and she’s also taking an honor’s class, and she never made less than a B in any of her subject except foreign language due to lack of interest but always manage to take it to at least a C to get by. Numbuh 1 isn’t a good student by any sense of the word though he is a genius when it come to the English language, he improve in his class but that’s mainly because Numbuh 362 makes him do better since her family have zero tolerates for dummies.

Who usually break the “No expensive Christmas gift” rule: Numbuh 362. It’s a share headcanon that Numbuh 362 is loaded so obviously she would buy the more expensive gift to make someone happy.

Heavy eater: Numbuh 362. She usually doesn’t eat a lot due to the stress of her job but when Numbuh 1 take her out to a fancy resturant or an all-you-can-eat buffet she wasted no time pigging out to the point where Numbuh 1 get nerve about the bill.

Heavy sleeper: Both of them (But mostly Numbuh 362): When the time are in a deep sleep you’ll need a force of 10 TNTs to wake them up and when someone wake them up than expect pain and suffer before bed.

The provider: Numbuh 1. Nigel always bring Rachel something even if it’s just something he found off the ground at work and though it was cute enough to give to her.

Good with children: Numbuh 362, duh! When your head of an organization of nose dripping, germ spreading children being good with children is a requirement though Numbuh 86 does provide backup whenever Rachel gets to soft on someone.

Best speaker: Again, Numbuh 362. As head of the Kids Next Door, 75% of your job is giving speeches. 

Better leadership: Numbuh 1. While Numbuh 362 maybe head of the Kids Next Door along with a line of military family members, Numbuh 1 still have her beat in leadership since he’s good at getting the soldiers in line, come up with effective battle plans and backup plans just encase Plan A failed. Because of this whenever she goes on vacation she always put him in charge to the rest of the KND’s dismay especially Numbuh 363.

Better sibling relationship: Obviously 362. She’s the only one with a sibling to speak of.

Talk about their future: Numbuh 362. She’s always a forward thinker so she usually like to have her future plan despite Numbuh 1 not liking when she does that.

Talk about children: Obviously Numbuh 362. Women usually be the first ones to start topics regarding their children and despite seeing their future daughter and what she’ll be like (As a 10 year old), they believe in “The future haven’t been written yet”.

Can speak multiple languages: Numbuh 362. She know English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, bits and pieces of French, and some German. However, she didn’t originally know how to speak German despite her family moving from their during World War II. Numbuh 1 can only speak English and Spanish but can understand Japanese, Chinese, and Korean, since him and Rachel have intercultural conversation where the two speak different languages to each other.

Date planner: Numbuh 362. Numbuh 1 doesn’t like dates so obviously Numbuh 362 have to arrange all their dates though that doesn’t mean Numbuh 1 doesn’t plan them out sometime.

Hardworker: Both. Neither of them can catch a break whether it’s with a small team or an entire organization.

Happy times has come to the Kids Next Door. The leader of Sector V has just propose to the Supreme Leader of the Kids Next Door!

The news broke wind fast. Everyone was excellent to have their first wedding in KND history. Numbuh 1 had to think long and hard about the decision. Rachel was getting bigger everyday and look like she was ready to pop, he took one good look at her belly and based his decision off of that. They always been good friends, and they been a pretty radical girl, and with Rachel pregnant with their daughter it only show how close they are as a family.

Nigel wants Rachel by his side forever. He wants to wake up every morning to kiss the woman that is carrying his child and the womb that is carrying his child. He wants to be there when Rachel goes into labor, same as her. During one of their dates, he took Numbuh 362 to the point and after skating and eating and when every Teenager left Numbuh 1 took her further to a cliff overlooking the sea, he pull out a box and said.

Numbuh 1: Numbuh 362, sir! You had been my best friend for as long as I know you. You been my leader as long as you had been in the Kids Next Door. And you been my girlfriend for as long as my heart beats. I have no way of repaying you for everything you had done for me, so I like to ask, Can I be with you and our daughter forever and will you marry me to seal the deal.

Numbuh 362 was shock. She hold her belly as she felt, she was about to throw up. She didn’t know what to think mostly cause of her pregnancy brain, but also because it came so suddenly. She didn’t want to say something stupid, but her head were full of stupid stuff (and food). Numbuh 1 grab her left hand while holding the ring in his right, tears started to form in her eyes and once her head were clear than she said.

Numbuh 362: Nigel Uno. Let me start by saying you own me nothing in return for our friendship, partnership, and relationship, I’m just happy to have you as my soldier. You gave me so much in 5 years and your just a gift that keeps on giving *Patting her belly*. I would love for us to be together. You, me, and our daughter. So with that say, I would love to marry you.

The two kiss into the night. Numbuh 1 put the ring on Numbuh 362′s finger and the rest is history.

Another preggy Rachel and crybaby father Nigel for all the people who have a sense of imagination. In the person I got this commission from I went full military in the comments mostly cause it’s kinda true.

Nigel and Rachel are usually in two different location not just on earth, but in space as well so they hardly see each other and when they do it’s usually for mission briefing so having time for themselves is usually a dime a dozen. It’s hard for the both of them, but they put up with it for moments like these. 

Numbuh 1 sometimes gets worry about Numbuh 362 and their daughter which sometime lead into him thinking about taking a backseat to be with Rachel 24/7 on the moonbase but he know Numbuh 362 (and Numbuh 5) wouldn’t allow him to come to such conclusion and Numbuh 362 sometimes get lonely on the moonbase. Yeah, she has her friends Numbuh 86 and Numbuh 60 but it’s just not the same as having someone you love cuddle you, say “I love you”, etc., she’s always worrying about Numbuh 1 even though he keep reassuring her he’ll come back but the idea of something bad happening to him still keep her up at night. So when they finally have peaceful opportunities like this they take full advantages of it even staying up all hours of the night just talking.

I think any military soldier can relate to this considering soldiers give up their safety and personal life to fight for their country.
