I have always had an irrational fear of a person waiting at the foot of my bed to snatch at my toes, and I've always gotten through it by tucking in my bed sheets or scrunching my legs up to not touch near the foot of my bed, or relying on my other fears to take this one off my mind. Well I just got into bed and stretched out my feet and my toe touches something and my heart stops and I scream. It's a sock.

I need to stop watching horror films before bed
I've been really unwell the past few days and doing what I just did right there is not gonna make this any better. I've been freaking out since last night about what could possibly be wrong with me. I don't think food poisoning can go on this long, but then again, I haven't researched food poisoning. I've already ruled out appendicitis, though! Good Lord, if that were the case... Oh man, I'd be so, so dead. I am not ready to die. I hope whatever's going on with my system stops soon. I'm really scared. Hopefully I'm just... Overreacting. I could be having my period soon for all I know. Premenstrual cramps and such. I sure feel sick, though. ... See you all in the morning.

Yes, this type. The “I’m all alone, but I know there are people around” kind with traffic and dogs barking etc.
And yeah, the breath metaphor is too real.
