I have recently had a go at capturing a night time time lapse with my Go Pro 6, and for the first attempt I'm quite happy. There is still a lot to learn, but I'm relishing the challenge of improving.

This is my second attempt at capturing a night timelapse, this time i pointed it towards polaris.
I have a lot of problems with noise which is really ugly to see on the video. Tried to retouch it in post but this is everything i could achieve. I tried to follow some guides which suggested to shot the video on RAW, but seems that the result is worst..
Shot with a Panasonic Lumix GH2 equiped with a Canon EF 55mm 1/1.8f wide open, using an intervallometer. 20 second exposures every 20 seconds, ISO 800.
The brighter light at the beginning is Jupiter. The sky was really cloudy and light polluted. I even used low quality jpegs to avoid reconverting RAW files prior to importing everything on After Effects, it was just my first test at night time lapsing. I used Sony Vegas to edit small stuff in post, just a small amount of post has been applied, i still have to learn.
Shot with a Panasonic Lumix GH2 equiped with a Panasonic Lumix G-Vario 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 wide open at 14mm, using an intervallometer.
The camera took a 10 seconds exposure every 20 seconds, from 22.30 PM to 00.30 AM. This has been shot in Switzerland, Ticino, Capolago.
