00:49 — Rain on the pasture. And he’s out.

While most of the village is asleep, this badger is wide awake — digging, snuffling, working the ground as the rain comes down.

This is classic nocturnal behaviour. Nose low, paws busy, following scent rather than sight. Worms, larvae, beetles — the rain softens the soil and brings the larder to the surface. Badgers know this. They always have.

There’s something quietly grounding about watching it happen in real time. No drama. No rush. Just instinct, patience, and purpose at nearly one in the morning.

Moments like this remind you how active the land really is after dark — especially around Northam / Appledore, where wildlife corridors are still very much alive.

Rainy nights aren’t empty. They’re just busy on a different timetable.

Fotomontaje correspondiente con la actuación sobre la Colada , uniendo así la localidad de San Agustín, El Ejido y Punta Entinas-Sabinar. 

A lo largo de este trayecto discurre una serie de invernaderos adaptados para múltiples funcionalidades, entre las cuales se encuentra el refugio. Como se aprecia en la imagen, estos invernaderos de noche se iluminan generando una situación a modo de camino-guía, simulando la acción de un faro interior. De esta manera no solo durante el día sirve para lugar de encuentros sociales, sino que al llegar la noche su actividad no cesa, otorgando así a la población del lugar un mayor desarrollo social gracias al espacio generado a través de esta serie de edificaciones.
