"Climb mountains not so the world can see you, but so you can see the world.“ - David McCullough, Jr. #nightclimb #copebashore (at Bashore Scout Reservation) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0V7toKAUBd/?igshid=1564dgcte0ahm

Summary of the Last Week of April
Sunday - We escaped from the rain in Washington by heading underground to explore the 2.5 mile long Ape Cave lava tube.
Monday - After doing some research at Barnes and Noble, we hiked to Rattlesnake Ledge, hoping for a view of Seattle. However, we were chased down by some more rain. It cleared up in the evening though, and we walked Seattle’s downtown, marveling at the abundance of Starbucks.
Tuesday and Wednesday - We rock climbed in North Bend, and rescued some stray doggies, getting animal services to pick them up.
Thursday through Saturday - We escaped the rain on the west side of the Cascades by driving 2 hours to the much drier east side. There we climbed at the Frenchman Coulee on great steep sport climbs, and hung out with Alex and Julian, some Canadians we met in North Bend. With them, we staged some epic night climbing photography!
