Red: Tell about a time you were really angry

“In my family, there was an informal tradition that males were Farstriders, and females became magic users of some sort. It was also extended to who they married. I say informal because certain allowances were made. In the case of my father, he was allowed to marry another Farstider because she had some talent with the Arcane, so it was enough.

While I am the eldest child, my brother was to become the Farstrider, and I would continue on with my diplomatic and linguist studies. I had no special magical abilities, so my passions were considered. 

Unfortunately, my brother had other ambitions, and while I was allowed to continue my studies, I was then tapped to become the next in line. I knew what this entailed and knew that my childhood was effectively over.

I resented him more than I thought was possible. My anger got the better of me which caused me to yell and rage at him. How could he be so selfish? How could he let our familial traditions go by the way side? How could he do this to me? 

Really, I was the selfish one. We both knew it.”

Centori let out a long sigh. “I wish my parents had interceded because he left without us saying another word to each other. Unfortunately because of the purge on Dalaran, we were never able to reconcile. 

My childish rage robbed me of a relationship. It is something that I think of often.”

@nighte-goggles wanted a drawing of her loving Idris Shadebough ( @time-enclave ) and so she commissioned me. I had fun with her and I might doodle some more of my mage’s lovely wife sometime later~ Perhaps together, perhaps not rightly themselves. Who knows. Anywho! Hope y’all dig it as much as she and I do.
