this is all still canon. its focused on Finchfeather, and Night also basically covering the time span from Night’s ‘discovery’ of Silver to Finch’s murder of a few Alpine cats post civil war (over a few months).
for a summary: Silver reveals themself to be able to easily kill Plagued individuals so naturally Alpine command takes them on board and begins plotting to end the war. Finch doesn’t trust Silver. what they eventually come up with is a battle strategy paired with Silver eliminating the remaining infected animals within colony territory, while Night and Finch take two patrols to try and close off the silverstone caves at the Moonfalls. while finch’s patrol succeeds, she returns to find Night, dead, and no sign of her other patrol members. Upon returning to Alpine, it is made clear their leader, Ravenheart has also been killed, presumed assassinated, along with the colony medic Ashcloud. Kitestar takes leadership and what follows includes the establishment of the dark forest mirrored to the Volant (starclan) territory. according to the growing Volant colony, Night killed Ravenheart and the witness, Ashcloud. She has been banished to the dark forest for eternity as punishment. in response to the murders the Volant Code is introduced. Finch detests all of this, and kills four Alpine cats in defence of Night’s name, a politically-based protest and to hypothetically secure herself a place in the dark forest by Night’s side upon her death, as Kitestar kills her in response.
