"Who are You? "
The Black Gate at Nightfort
Afterward the gods transformed the cook into a monstrous white rat who could only eat his own young. He had roamed the Nightfort ever since, devouring his children, but still his hunger was not sated. "It was not for murder that the gods cursed him," Old Nan said, "nor for serving the Andal king his son in a pie. A man has a right to vengeance. But he slew a guest beneath his roof, and that the gods cannot forgive."
The Rat Cook, by me. (Forgive the lack of colored background)
Did you ever post that piece with resurrected Jon at the Nightfort anywhere? I was watching the Joe Magician video about the NightFort
I'm gonna assume you meant this one? Good catch, cause looks like, no i havent!
Danny Flint was a girl from House Flint who dressed up as a boy to become a member of the Night's Watch.
Danny was raped and murdered at the Nightfort. She is remembered for being brave and young. "Brave Danny Flint" is a sad and pretty song written about her. In some versions of the song her ghost still walks the Nightfort.
Upon arriving at the Nightfort with his companions, Bran Stark recalls the tale of what happened to Danny Flint.
In Winterfell, during the wedding banquet held in honour of Ramsay Bolton to "Arya Stark", Lord Wyman Manderly requests a song about brave young Danny Flint to make everyone weep.
As three thousand wildlings pass the Wall at Castle Black, Lord Commander Jon Snow notices that two of the boy hostages are girls in disguise. Jon asks Tormund Giantsbane if Mance Rayder ever sang a song about Danny Flint. Tormund says he does not think so and asks who he was. Jon tells him about Danny, saying that her song is sad and pretty but what happened to her was not.
Summer and the Winged Wolf - UnChained - The Direwolves of Winterfell Ep 4.8 covers the warg bond of Summer and Bran in the 2nd 1/2 of A Storm of Swords as they reach the gift (Queenscrown) and wall. The magic is at play in the encounters with Jon and Sam.
Mix in wolf dreams about Robb's death, and we get a ton of rich description of Summer and Bran's bond. On an ominous note, Bran's regrettable skinchanging of Hodor features in this episode for the first time. It's wrong, and Bran knows it, but he is so ashamed of his own body...
Still, as I cover in my first Kingsblood video, Bran has terrific support from the Reeds and Hodor, he just couldn't have had this adventure without them. Sam helps a bunch here too. The scene with Summer and Sam is a great example of the direwolf's instinctive sense of danger.

When Alysanne expressed the wish to see some of the other forts along the Wall, the First Ranger Benton Glover led her west atop the Wall, past Snowgate to the Nightfort, where they made their descent and spent the night. The ride, the queen decided, was as breathtaking a journey as she had ever experienced, “as exhilarating as it was cold, though the wind up there blows so strongly that I feared it was about to sweep us off the Wall.” The Nightfort itself she found grim and sinister. “It is so huge the men seem dwarfed by it, like mice in a ruined hall,” she told Jaehaerys, “and there is a darkness there…a taste in the air…I was so glad to leave that place.”
Fire and Blood (George R. R. Martin)
Yeah, might be because the last King to visit was served his own son...
The Rat Cook had cooked the son of the Andal king in a big pie with onions, carrots, mushrooms, lots of pepper and salt, a rasher of bacon, and a dark red Dornish wine. Then he served him to his father, who praised the taste and had a second slice. Afterward the gods transformed the cook into a monstrous white rat who could only eat his own young. He had roamed the Nightfort ever since, devouring his children, but still his hunger was not sated. 'It was not for murder that the gods cursed him, Old Nan said, 'nor for serving the Andal king his son in a pie. A man has a right to vengeance. But he slew a guest beneath his roof, and that the gods cannot forgive.'
