Christoph sat down at the table, and of course offered his smile to everyone already there. He was a common face down at the Bellagio, coming there often enough that the staff were familiar with him. He was largely kind to them -- he always tipped, and given that he didn't mind losing money, he wasn't one of the sorts to raise a fit about the house always winning. He didn't care about the dollars exchanged. He wasn't gambling to raise up his fortunes -- his other work did that well enough. It was just a fun way to spend his time, down at the table with a hand of cards in front of him.
He enjoyed poker. The game itself was enjoyable enough, but there was also the added factor of it being a good ground for exploring.. He didn't want to call it the human condition, given the dead-undead nature of the people playing with him. But it was always interesting to figure people out. How they lied. If they could laugh when they were nervous. If they could laugh while they were losing. When enough was enough -- and so on. It was a crash course in getting to know select parts of someone that rarely came up in casual conversation.
He bought in, and settled into his seat for what he imagined to be a decent enough evening.
