Hermann Corrodi. Nightly Walk of the Monks to the Mountain Monastery Athos. 1888 :: [Mikhail Iossel]

“Life hasn’t just begun. Art never had a beginning. Always, until the moment of its stopping, it was constantly there. It is infinite. It is here, at this moment, behind me and inside me, and, as if the doors of an Assembly Hall were suddenly flung open, I am immersed in its fresh, headlong omnilocality and omnitemporality, as if an oath of allegiance were to be sworn without delay. No genuine book has a first page. Like the rustling of a forest, it is begotten God knows where, and it grows and it rolls, arousing the dense wilds of the forest until suddenly, in the very darkest, most stunned and panicked moment, it rolls to its end and begins to speak with all the treetops at once.”
― Boris Pasternak
So I'm fairly certain that I stroll by a doorway-between-worlds on my nightly walks.

Mexican Birthday Party
Every evening I go on a walk. Tonight I walked to 7/11 to buy an extra large diet coke and to try to find a homeless person to buy me a pack of cigarettes. After securing both (i gave the man three marlboros and a ten dollar bill) I made my way to my usual spot - a bench outside a very nice and expensive apartment where I like to sit and smoke and act like I live there. However, much after it was too late, I realized I had walked right into a mexican birthday party. In my defense, it was taking place in the middle of the street, and I do not speak spanish. A very short old woman approached me assuming (however i'm not sure of this fact as I dont speak spanish and this very sweet lady did not speak english) I was a guest. It was quite nice of her considering I was dressed even worse than people who try to dress like adam sandler, if I was a guest it would have been very rude of me to show up wearing an outfit so drab.

One hour walk along the waterfront at the airport! Didn’t realize how cold it was. Was going to just do one lap but then I said fuck it, I’m doing the hour! At times my face and hands were frozen but I just shifted my jacket a little and warmed up.
Photos are kinda blurry and shit, but oh well.
I honestly really like going when it’s dark out. There wasn’t a lot of people too. Going to try to make this a daily thing.
