Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived in a little apartment in the city. Whenever she went out, the little girl wore her long, fluffy hair out so everyone in the city called her Little White Rabbit.
One day, Little White Rabbit asked her roommate if she could go out and visit her friend as it had been a while since they’d seen each other.
“That’s a good idea,” her roommate said. So they packed a nice basket full of her roommate’s homemade tofu for Little White Rabbit to take to her friend’s place.
When the basket was ready, the little girl patted her dress down and waved her roommate goodbye.
“Remember, go straight to Aya’s place,” her roommate cautioned. “Don’t dawdle along the way and please don’t talk to strangers! The city is dangerous.”
“Don’t worry, Kyouka,” said Little White Rabbit. “I’ll be careful.”
But when Little White Rabbit noticed some lovely flowers in the street, she forgot her promise to her roommate. She picked a few, watched the rats dance about for a while, listened to the pigeons chirping and then picked a few more.
Little White Rabbit was enjoying the warm summer day so much, that she didn’t notice a dark shadow approaching out of the city behind her...

While he was used to doing this sort of thing alone since childhood, mastering the art until he could make any sort of face into the pumpkin that inspiration begged, he held out hope some passerby would join him without him needing to call even more attention to himself. Well, not that he was unwilling to. He would’ve like to be selfish and call Eichi or Kanata over, but unlike him, they did not have a day off. Already bored of the loneliness of it all, hair latched onto smaller pumpkins and began waving them in the air.

The room was silent, staring at the Heisei Holmes that stood before them all. The murder had only been a few days ago, and it was Shinichi Kudou on the scene. The room had been the place of the murder and, while the body was gone, all the clues were still in the room.
”So,” Megure began. “Who is it? You said you knew who the murderer was.”
”And I do,” Shinichi replied, then he stepped forward. “I know who did it, and exactly how. First,” He approached the window, which lead to a balcony on the third floor. “our culprit had to enter the room without using the door, as both Professor Ito and Mrs. Kobayashi were just outside the room speaking at the time of the murder — and there was no where for them to hide before they left the room. This means, the murderer had to enter through the window.”
He opened the door to the balcony and peered out. “This means they had to make their way up to the third floor without being seen.” Everyone followed the detective to the balcony. “Of course, no one could possibly climb or jump this without help or something to climb up on it.” He turned to the balcony to the left that lead to the neighbouring room.
The Heisei Holmes placed his hand on the railing beside a shoe scruff on the railing. “But, someone with enough physical strength and agility could jump between the balcony’s.”
”What are you suggesting?” Mrs. Kobayashi, the wife of the victim, asked, stepping foward.
Turning, Shinichi met eyes with her, a grave expression making his expression. “That means whoever was in the neighbouring room at the time of the murder was the culprit.”
There was a moment of silence, before Mrs. Kobayashi turned to her son, Susumu who looked just as shocked as she did. “But you…”
”You heard what Professor Ito told your father, didn’t you?” Shinichi stepped towards Susumu, who stepped back hesitantly, his face growing with horror every second. “You heard that your father expected you to take over the family company, but you didn’t want to. So, you put on some gloves and, using the skills you learned while studying to be a stunt man, you jumped the distance between the balcony’s and murdered him with his own letter opener.”
Balling his fists, Susumu shook his head. “It’s not fair! I wanted to be a stunt man. I wanted to go into the movies, but that old man would never let me do anything other than study to take over the company. I hated the company and I hated him! I tried so hard to make him give up the company and give it to Professor Ito! But when I heard that I wasn’t yet to inherit the company if he died, I knew then that it was my chance. I will not be tied down!”
Megure sighed and motioned to the other officers in the room. “Susumu Kobayashi, you’re under arrest for the murder of Tadao Kobayashi.” Susumu did not struggle as the police put him in handcuffs and escorted him out the door as Ms. Kobayashi followed, in tears.
Shinichi watched them as they left the room, and he sighed. At that very moment, his phone rang his notification’s tone and he opened it to check the text message he had recieved.
From: Ran Mouri Text: Where are you!?
”Oh, no!” Glancing at his watch, he was almost an hour late to realized he had forgotten about his date with Ran. “I completely forgot! Ah, Megure, you can handle it from here, right!? Thanks, bye!”
And he burst out the door in a rush, hurrying down the street as fast as he could as the sun set and the lights of the city turned on, one by one.
Hiyori glanced at the road and grimaces, memories flashing through her mind. "Calm down, Hiyori. You aren't in the time loop anymore." She murmurs to herself. She feels someone's eyes on her, and she turns. "... What are you staring at, mister cat eyes?"
I only really need to write up the last few things on the information page, but exam stress is getting to me harder than anticipated so can I get an extension for Kano's reserve just for insurance?
