Hello zombie bait-- I mean hello everyone! Iâd like to apologize for the slowness recently a few things have come up making it difficult for the mods to get online and deal with the inbox. Despite that I assure you weâre still here and our hearts are still beating (for now). Hopefully things will get things moving more quickly soon. Anyways, on that note have a great day~.

Name:Â Makoto Izayoi
Role:Â Tree Climber
Age:Â 7
Face Claim:Â Rebi
Face Claim Series:Â Arcadia of My Youth Endless Orbit SSX (AoMY SSX for short)
What did they do before the Apocalypse?:Â Elementary school student
Special Skills/Talents:Â She is the best bug collector on the block, no matter what the boys say, and she knows about every bug in her collection thanks to her bug encyclopedia. She can climb trees like it comes naturally because itâs the best way to find bugs. She is also very good at twirling, and sheâs happy to show off her talents.
Extra:Â She is the half-sister of Chiaki Izayoi, and though they might easily pass for full-blood siblings, her blonde hair is a wig. It is temporary until the black hair underneath grows out to the length she wants it, but she is never seen without her wig.Â
Personality:Â Makoto is a little fireball. She can never sit still. Any class that isnât PE has her sighing and drumming her fingers against her desk. Being inside is absolutely dull to her, but the moment sheâs outside, sheâs all smiles. The outdoors are her playground. The trees are playsets, and the bugs are treasure. For a portion of her short life, she was raised as a boy and taught their ways. There was no need to be ladylike or squeamish about gross things, so she easily found a love for rough-and-tumble activities. And she found an even bigger love for gross six-legged things (and sometimes eight-legged, but Chiaki doesnât like those).
Though she prefers company, She doesnât mind being alone outside as long as the sun is up. The moment sunlight dims, she needs someone she knows nearby, or sheâs quick to panic. She is still a child, and all her emotions are shown to extremes. Happiness is fits of giggles. Sadness is big tears and a runny nose. Anger is full-fledged tantrums. It is easy to make her happy, but it is just as easy to send her into a grudge match of pouting and the silent treatment. If anyone really bothers her, she will not hesitate to kick, hit or bite her way out of a bad situation.Â
Background:Â When she was given the name Makoto, her parents expected her to use it as a boyâs name. But from the time she could truly communicate and understand, she insisted âMakoto is a girl.â Unsure, her parents encouraged her love for âboyishâ things. Her mother didnât appreciate finding insects around the house, but a girl probably wouldnât do that. Her father gave her a pat on the head for each scraped knee and splinter. Still, she insisted. âMakoto is a girl.â
And they worried, because a little boy saying something like that would be mocked and ridiculed by the other children, and what would the other parents say? But Makoto said not to worry, because she was not a little boy. Her oldest brother seemed to understand because sometimes he was a girl and sometimes a boy. And her other older brother, well, he was just rowdy.Â
She asked for dresses and skirts. She asked to grow her hair out. She asked to never be called âlittle boyâ again. It hurt to be told no by worrying parents, but she never took no for an answer. The girl theyâd raised to be a little boy had learned to be stubborn, to rub dirt in wounds and never cry. She requested and reminded over and over.
"Makoto is a girl."
"Iâm your little girl."
Until one day she couldnât help but cry, because it hurt more than any bruise or cut. Boys are told not to cry, but she was not a boy, and she needed to. They understood then, or at least they tried to. She picked out dresses and started growing out her hair. Her parents still worry, even though she tells them not to, but now they worry about their little girl running through dirt and trees and bringing all these bugs into the house.
Iâm sorry that I havenât been that active as a mod and as the founder of the group itâs pretty shameful. However, Iâll have to take my leave due to personal reasons and time constraints. Itâs a pity since I truly wanted to see this to the end but hopefully Iâll be able to join one day as a member. Anyway, I wish you all the best! I trust these mods to take care of this group. Theyâre all great friends and great people.Â

Name: Hiro Tachibana
Role: Study Buddies
Age: 17
Face Claim: Ayano Tateyama
Face Claim Series: Kagerou Project
What did they do before the Apocalypse?: Final year of High school
Special Skills/Talents:
Good at drawing; Sheâs been practising drawing game characters and even joined the art club.
Extras:
Sena Tachibana is her older sister
Personality:
At first glance Hiro is a quiet girl who usually keeps to herself. However in reality, Hiro is quite playful and rather rebellious at times who also enjoys making jokes; especially puns around those she feels comfortable with. Although kind, she also has a short temper leading her to react impulsively and more than often gets lands her into trouble.
Similar to her sister, Hiro is smart, however sheâs rather lazy so she usually ranks in the top 20. Knowing that her parents place all of their hope and expectations on Sena, Hiro feels a bit of resentment towards her sister, but at the same time she feels guilty for it since she knows how hard it is for Sena to meet their expectations.
Background:
Being the youngest daughter in the Tachibana family, Hiro grew up in a strict environment where etiquette and studies meant everything. When she was younger, Hiro would try to compete with her sister for their parentâs affection as she felt that Sena was their favoured child. Despite all her best efforts her grades were always short of her sister and overtime she began to accept that fact and instead saw it as a blessing as now she was able to make her own decision about her own future.
With this idea in mind, Hiro stopped competing with her sister and turned to a rather lazy lifestyle of playing video games and reading manga. As long as her grades didnât drop and she continued to study, her parents were fine with it and left her to be. Â At one point during high school her grades slipped and as punishment she was banned from any form of entertainment and a strict 5pm curfew was forced on her until she regained her usual ranking. It was due to this event that lead her to become interested in becoming a game designer. Â
Since she and her sister are in the same class, Hiro makes it her job to defend her sister, even once going as far as to punching one girl out of anger after a comment left her sister in tears.

Name:Â EliĆĄka Nemchak
Face claim:Â Touka Kirishima
Face claim series:Â Tokyo Ghoul
Role:Â Siren
Age:Â 17
What did they do before the apocalypse:Â She was placed in a Psychiatric Ward by her mother to protect her from harming herself and others.
Special talents/skills:
Art: It was one of her passions as a child, but as her life changed for the worse, so did her drawings. Theyâd become more detailed and morbid, expressing inner thoughts or desires; sometimes towards people.
Story Telling: Her imagination is vast, mostly accustomed to telling scary stories to her youngest brother.
Personality:Â
Being on the solitude side, EliĆĄka tends to keep secrets and personal matters to herself rather than sharing them with others. Â Thereâs a somewhat charming personality to her, but deep inside sheâs much much worse. She just knows how to conceal it. Being more on the protective side, Eliska would often be overly protective of her younger brother. Taking a dislike to people who would mock him or even dare lift a finger towards him.Â
She can be easily snapped into a mood depending on how sheâs treated, and sometimes hurts people even if she means not too. Being drawn to morbid things, she often draws morbid drawings and paintings; sometimes expressing her inner thoughts through paper. This often scares other people and unsettles them. She finds it amusing to watch their reactions, loving the feeling of making people scared or pain.
Background:Â
Life at home was rough, her father being an alcoholic and aggressive towards her when no one was around. It put a great deal of strain on her mental state, slowly worsening and twisting her mentally. Sometimeâs she didnât even notice it, until she grew grudges against people and most importantly her father. It was after her brother informed her about being attacked by their father that she snapped. All her hallucinations of killing her father became reality, and her mind didnât stop her. Morals didnât hold her back from such a morbid action. (now this doesnât mean she wasnât smart, as she covered her tracks and he was soon known as a missing person)
At first she tried to deny the issue, convincing herself that she didnât need help. It didnât take long for her to admit to herself, but instead of seeking help she accepted her state as normal. After her fatherâs disappearance, her mother broke down and went in search of another job.Soon she was offered one and they moved out of their native country. After the move, her mother began to fear her daughter and was away from them a lot, leaving Eliska  to run the house and  be the guardian of her brother.
In time, her personality became more alluring, and more secrets were kept. She has a strong passion to inflict fear on others, lurring people in until itâs too late to turn back, sometimes even going as far as dealing with the people who mess with her. Sheâs unafraid to play with knifes if she has to ;)
Extra:Â not really, just that the song on this blog explains my character perfectly and is what inspired this oc.

Name: Saki Okimaru
Role: Hot head
Age: 17
Face Claim: Riruka Dokugamine
Face Claim Series: Bleach
What did they do before the Apocalypse?: High school student
Special Skills/Talents: In most fields Saki is quite average, but in terms of her skills in martial arts she is quite talented. Saki also has a talent when it comes to carving and sculpting.
Extra: Saki has a small worn out rabbit plushy she carries everywhere and tries to keep hidden. It is very important to her and she can be quite possessive over it, but refuses to admit it.
Personality[2 paragraph minimum]:
In short: Irritable, Hot-headed, Understanding, Stubborn, Determined.
As a child, Saki was quite selfish and dramatic. She did whatever was needed to get her parents to look at her. Whether it was standing on her hands and walking through the kitchen before tumbling down knocking everything over, or if it was simple shouting âHey look at me!â. She was a very personable girl and many people were fond of her. Even at a young age, Saki was a lover of competition and often played competitive games with her friends.
As her motherâs patience decreased, Sakiâs did as well. Even before middle school, Saki often bossed people around and retorted back to teachers point. As much as students enjoyed her comments her mother wasnât particularly fond of it. Instead of disciplining her through shouting, Saki wound up acting up more often and got snappy with people when they did the smallest of things wrong.
After Aoi was born, Aoi grew more jealous and more irritable. Aoi this, Aoi that. She hated that. Because of her younger brother now being the one everyone looked at, Saki got herself into mischief wherever possible. Despite her jealously of her brother, and her verging on hating him, Saki was a good older sister who Aoi adored. She was a responsible young girl and usually put Aoiâs interest above hers.
As she aged, her hot-headed tendencies only increased. Not much else changed, until her father and mother divorced. Saki had always looked up at her father, but after the incident she wanted to hate him. Wanted, meaning she never brought herself to hate him. Saki became rather possessive of things and doesnât let others touch a number of her belongings. With this personality changing to become more aggressive, her friends started leaving until she moved having nothing left to lose. Rumours began to float around as she took up martial arts. Some said she beat people up on a daily basis, otherâs said she bullied her peers. None of which were true. Whenever Saki overheard such a thing being spoken of she wound up yelling at whoever said it, only worsening her reputation.
Saki was known as âThe Roseâ at her new school. Since she was small, and pretty people looked at her like something to look at, but never got close enough to be prickled by the thorns. Until Saki became friends with Saki, she went on being known as scary person. Having befriended Tokiwa, her expression softened and people were less hesitant to approach her. She made a few more friends and found herself to be good at making people smile.
Background[2 paragraph minimum]:
As a child Saki was a very happy girl. As the first born of a young newly-married couple, things seemed well. More than once a week the family of three would go on day trips to the zoo, the park, the beach and many other locations. To her parents at the time, Saki was their everything. She was always the centre of attention, and as one might imagine Saki grew to adore that attention. Due to this desire to be the centre of attention she would do whatever possible to get it.
Between the two parents, her father, Akira, was the one who supported the family financially. Whereas her mother, Mai, worked several part time jobs to assure they were comfortable financially. Despite their hardworking tendencies they always had time for Saki. At school Saki was fairly well-liked but occasionally got into trouble due to her urge to be the one everyone would look at. Her marks were average, but her reputation at the school was quite good.
Occasionally, Mai would get frustrated with Saki and shout at her acting up in class and at home. Over time, it seemed her mother had less patience. Due to growing up in that situation, Saki herself had very little patience and was quick to snap at her parents, friends and teachers. One day after a fight with her mother her father came home early and knocked on Sakiâs door only to give her a stuffed rabbit. He told her whenever she got angry to hug the plushy instead of yelling. From that day forward that stuffed animal went everywhere Saki did.
A few years after Saki was born, came a younger brother named Aoi. At first Saki was thrilled to have a younger brother whom she could boss around and would look up to her. Finally, a step towards growing up something Saki often dreamt of. Aoi at a young age grew fond of Saki, but as he aged he also showed signs of being exceptionally talented at a number of things. Far more things than Saki ever did. Of course as soon as these talents became clear, no longer was Saki the centre of attention. Aoi began going to special classes at a young age, and at that point he was all her mother ever talked about. Saki grew tired of Aoi constantly clinging to her, and often yelled at him when he got too close. Her father worked later hours and didnât come home until bedtime. Saki hated that her father wasnât home much anymore, but she understood why.
One day after Saki and Aoi came home to the sound of glass being broken and shouting. Saki told Aoi to wait out front while she went in to check it out. Quietly the girl snuck into the kitchen where her parents were fighting over something Saki couldnât quite catch. Until now, Saki had never seen her father shout. At the moment he was furious and Saki was actually a little scared. Saki was about to run between the two to get them to stop when a glass came flying nearly hitting her. Saki screaming having been startled and the fighting stopped. Her parents were both looking at her⊠It had been a while since she felt both their eyes on her. Before they could say another thing, Saki stormed off and locked herself in her room.
Later that night, her father came in to apologize for their actions. Saki said nothing, until he mentioned something about a divorce. Saki swung the door open allowing it to slam against the wall. She yelled at him for saying something so ridiculous, but he explained it was the truth. Their family was to be split into pieces. That wasnât even the worse part. Apparently, Aoi was going with their father. Furious Saki shouted âI hate your guts!â to her father then slammed the door in his face. Those were the last words Saki ever said to him. Without even saying goodbye, they parted ways.
The relationship between Saki and her mother never worsened, nor did it improve. In fact not long after divorcing her dad she was already seeing another man, who Saki did not approve of. Saki began taking up the martial arts to keep her anger in check. It turned out, aside from shouting at people for the smallest of things martial arts were one of her strengths.
A year after the divorce, Mai married that man who Saki hated above all else. Looking at the guy alone, Saki knew he was a bad person. Probably just looking for someone who would benefit him. She knew from that look in his eye he didnât even love her mother. Even so, the man moved in with them. Saki often fought with him, and her mother always sided with him no matter how ridiculous his point was.
Due to her changing personality and her short-temper slowly her friends vanished until there were none left. Around that time, they were going to move so it didnât effect her much. Going into her new high school, many students heard rumours of her most of which were ridiculous  and unbelievable. They were afraid of her. All aside from the girl who sat next to her. A tall beautiful girl whoâs personality was the opposite of hers. Despite them being opposites, the two shared a name. Saki Tokiwa. After school one day, the two girls were along after class on cleaning duty. While Saki worked away, she heard several thumps on the ground. Turning around several bookshelves had fallen to the ground and books were sprawled across the floor. Saki yelled at Tokiwa for being careless and walked over to help clean up the mess.
Once they had finished, Tokiwa explained to Saki she wasnât a bad person. Saki snapped at the other and stormed off, until being stopped once again. âYou forgot something!â Tokiwa yelled as she chased after Saki holding up the stuffed rabbit. Saki blushed furiously and took it back then ran home.
The next week or so at school, Tokiwa began spending more time with Saki. Over time, Saki grew comfortable with her and wound up explaining her situation. Oddly enough, after she opened up, Tokiwa explained her story as well. It wasnât all that different from Sakiâs. After telling each other their stories the two became best friends and avoided home together as much as possible. Despite the rumours that still floated around Saki was happier than she had been for years.
And with that Chiaki is ready to camp, play, have fun and die-- I mean *cough cough* Anyhow, here's the blog and supplies page is under the appropriate link in the side

Name: Chiaki Izayoi
Role: Roleless
Age: 19
Face Claim: Kurapika
Face Claim Series: Hunter x Hunter
What did they do before the Apocalypse?: Chiaki was taking a break from school and making a living by doing all kinds of odd jobs at the company where his father worked.
Special Skills/Talents: From countless of exposure to them, Chiaki has got quite good at solving riddles, whether it be number riddles, word plays or small mind games. His forte is puzzle games.Â
Extra: Although genderfluid, Chiaki generally refers to himself as âheâ. There are some exceptions to this, but it tends to be a rule more than an exception.
Personality:Â Chiaki has always been a person who would shove away his own feelings for other peopleâs sake and for the sake of fitting in with other people. Due to having some differences than other people his age, he has tried his best to figure out what kind of people everyone else wanted him to be, become an existence that could exist and appease everyone without really being all that noticeable.
Not even at home has Chiaki had much of a chance to just be who he wanted to be; with his little brother becoming too much of a troublemaker he had to be the nice and quiet one who listened to what was said and who could be relied on. The perfect child to make up for the troubles they had with the younger one.
This has caused Chiaki to have a massive lack of understanding regarding his own identity. He has a hard time choosing what it is he wants to do, what he wants to say and how he wants to act, because he has mastered the act of being the one everyone else wants. He is easily overwhelmed with feelings of anxiety thinking that he isnât good enough, especially when people scold him or shout at him. When amidst lots of other people he can also tend to feel awkward as if people are looking at him expecting something from him, and he wants to know what kind of person he can be to be right for too many people at a time.
Chiakiâs lack of gender also takes root in this insecurity about his very identity. It is too confusing for him to give proper thought to, and it tends to bother him that people expect others to act one way because of their gender when Chiaki has moments where he feels male, then others where he feels females and others yet where he just doesnât care. When on his own he enjoys dressing up with wigs and pretty clothes, and sometimes he even goes outside in his outfits: with no one recognising him, maybe he can become someone different, someone he always wanted to be but canât because of the pattern heâs stuck in.
Background:Â Born on an entirely ordinary autumn day in an entirely ordinary hospital by an entirely ordinary couple. That was how Chiaki came into the world. The only thing that might be a bit different about him was his blonde hair and European features that made him stand out from other Japanese children, but with mixed heritage that much was to be expected. His mother came to Japan from Norway, fascinated by the culture and the country, settled down with a Japanese man and had a cute little baby. Some years later another one came along and they were a happy little family.
That was how it was supposed to play out at least. But quarrels erupted and soon quarrels became constant arguments that two small children had no idea how to handle. âYou work all the time! You have no time for your family! If this was back in Norway this would never have happened.â The dream of moving to another country and experiencing its cultural differences might not have been so appealing after all. Chiakiâs parents divorced when he was four years old, and his mother moved back to Norway, leaving them all behind. Since then Chiaki has only seen his mother once every year during holidays.
Even with the lack of a mother figure their lives still continued in a hectic day-to-day life: Chiaki began school, his father began dating again and eventually found himself a new wife with whom he had a child, and the little family grew. But Chiaki and his little brother had always been the weird ones out with their blonde hair. His brother was always the more aggressive of the two, so to make up for that Chiaki had always taken it upon himself to be the ânice oneâ to make up for it. Never complaining, always doing as told. He taught himself how to fit in to survive and has been living in such a way ever since.
In the writing sample, can we write about another character from a previous rp or does it have to be from the OC perspective?
Hello Anon, thanks for the question. The writing sample is just to show us you are capable of writing in character. As stated on the forms page, you may take the writing sample from a previous rp that's fine! However if you would like to write a sample from your OC's perspective that's fine too.
