It’s maybe a little too bombastic, but it was fun to make. I used a simple kind of creepy lullaby I made as the foundation.

The end of the first story.
I felt like the pacing kind of fell off here in the last few pages. At the time I was having some medical issues that added to me really wanting to wrap it up which is why the sketch is just a few lines, a few redraws, and then “fuck it”. Stuff like that is why it’s good to run through thumbnails first; But as I’ve probably said before on here, I felt like at the time if I didn’t get started then I never would.
My goal for this first story was to present a little bit of everything this story could be; it’s just a collection of tiny samples strung together with an introduction to Tangerine’s struggle to carry it through. I tried to balance this by having a pretty simple plot to hopefully keep things orderly and interesting (Tangerine in a new place, needs a friend) I think I succeeded with that, but my goal now is to make this part the worst part in the whole series, because functionally it kind of should be. In the future, the stories I tell in this world will be able to kind of stretch out and fixate on individual themes with longer sequences, but I felt like as an introduction this is what this first part should be.
Let me know if you liked what you saw, and if it made you interested in more. I can’t be entirely confident in this stuff as I really just stared with comics, so any feedback is appreciated.
