history 3: trapped (2019)

I haven't see anyone talking about it (maybe someone at reddit - you guys are brainy in there) but the reels saga continues for Joe Tsai and Vidol, this time around it's called Return is Real and it features one very familiar face:

Chris Wu from HIStory 3: Trapped is making a comeback, his first protagonist since 2020! Chris thanked Tsai in his socials, citing the feeling of return home by making his comeback in the BL genre.

The plot revolves around a petshop owner who is having a hard time overcoming grief after losing his beloved dog. Wills Sia from Fight For You and all other Is Real entries serves as co-lead.

Also making a return is Lawrence Lo from Eternal Butler and surprisingly, he is not joined by Sing Hom — they've been attached to the hip since paired for the show, the two of them are always hanging around with co-stars Eden Chen and Kevin Chang, they are a real clique, so it's interesting to see Lawrence without Sing in this project.

Even more so because while not at the inaugural ceremony Fight For You' Nelson Ji will participate alongside Andy Ko — teaming up for the fifth time in a scripted project, sixth overall.

To be fair, with Andy serving as EP and this whole thing only happening because Nelson asked to work with him again it would be shocking if they were not together.

It's been comeback season for Taiwan BL with Jed Chung, JN Yu, Andy Wu, Yu Jin, Michal An, Lin Chia Wei, Wayne Song, Jin Yu and Matthew Han all returning to the genre in some capacity.
