Night Terrors >:)
My Muse has been placed in a sleep observation room and a Special device has been placed on their head that shows what they dream of on a Monitor, Send Me: “Night Terrors” to see one of my Muse’s Many Horrendous Nightmares..
It’s getting hard for him to breathe.
He’s wheezing as he runs after something, a person. Who? What? He doesn’t know, all he knows- feels, is that they will hurt someone he loves. Someone who is close to him. It’s blacker than pitch and even with his experience in the dark it’s hard for him to be certain where he’s going. But he keeps running, he has to. He has to stop them- keep them from hurting his loved one!
Regardless of who it is, he can’t let them get hurt!
Suddenly the area turns to light, and he can see he’s outside the Collegium now. It’s nighttime, still dark. The moon is a pale blue crescent in the sky, and the stars are hidden by clouds. The rays cast a silvery sheen over the dewy grass of the field, and as he looks around he searches desperately for the bad thing. He struggles to keep calm though his heart is racing, pounding against his ribcage as though demanding to be set out for breath. But he has to keep quiet lest the assailant- whoever it is- from knowing he is on their tail.
Stormy eyes soon land on the Companion’s stable, or rather something in front of it.
A man, dressed in slightly shabby but protective clothing colored a few dark shades. He’s taller than Mags, older and by far much more robust. His shields- they are broken! Shattered and in pieces but still up. He catches thoughts- bad thoughts of what he will do…
No!
This man- with his horrible Temper and flame inside is planning to set that upon the Companion’s stable, planning to trap them inside and burn them alive!
Dallen- Dallen was in there! The others might be able to escape, but- but his front legs-!
Waves of guilt and anguish wash over him again like some time before.
It was his fault- his fault! If only he hadn’t been so wrapped up in his head- Dallen wouldn’t have run in the dark on that damnable Kirball field!
He- he has to keep Dallen safe this time, he can’t let him get hurt again!
It feels like someone attached weights to his feet as he tries to run towards Temper, and as he opens his mind dropping all his shields to scream for help- nobody answers! Nobody is in the Collegium, nobody can help him and the Companions! Regardless he attacks the man, clinging and clawing and biting for all he was worth, attempting to rip the drawn blade from his hands and stab Temper with it.
The man hits him and smashes his now frail body into the ground, air forced from his lungs with a pitiful wheeze. Still he fights to stay awake, blinking black spots from his eyes as he soon sees red.
It’s fight or die, kill or be killed.
with Dallen unprotected, he can’t just give up!
Suddenly a searing pain elicits a cry from him, two more following after. He falls to the ground which seems miles below, and screams as a boot is briefly jammed into his new injuries.
Gritting his teeth and clutching his wounds, feeling sticky and warm liquid slip from where the blade had entered his body he struggles to keep awake, to try and move to stop Temper.
However he can only watch as the man approaches the barn, the bar sealing the doors from the outside. Haybales had been stacked outside it, with torch in hand he set them to fire! The flames grew and ate the hay like a starving beast, slithering its way up the walls of the stable and setting it to complete fire.
It isn’t long before screams- terribly and disturbingly human- ring from inside the building. Hooves pound at the doors, the walls, the small windows, everything in their desperate attempt to get out! A mind voice calls out to him, terrified and hurting from- from the fire!
:Mags! Mags please! Help me, it burns! Why aren’t you doing anything? Help me, help me Mags-!:
The monitor screen goes to static as he rips off the device, a low and shaky growl rumbling out of him before he can stop it. A hand clutches at his chest and his head is lowered, shadows cast from his long hair preventing anyone from seeing his red rimmed eyes. Now that he’s awake, it’s easy to see him shaking from anguish, rage, and so many other things. It’s best if he is left alone now.
