Amelia breathed a sigh as she stood on her balcony, gazing out over the landscape as everything began to disappear with the oncoming darkness. Everything seemed peaceful and serene, and the Sniper was about to retire for the night when she heard a sudden shuffling of feet below. She quickly looked down, but saw nothing in the dim light. Maybe a dust cloud or two, but that was about it. Suddenly intrigued, she rushed out of her room, down the flight of stairs, and out the kitchen door into the cool, night air.
She kept her eyes and ears peeled for anything suspicious, but again, there was nothing.
"Hello?" she called out, her brown eyes carefully scanning the entire landscape. "Anyone out there?"
