NIHL Fall 2020
this is literally so stupid but I really wish there was some tinnitus reference in classical literature, or by a famous author, or in theory, or philosophy, or ANY of the shit that I read and get my life's fucking meaning from. the fact that it is either a) too shameful or unimportant to talk about or b) truly a "modern" injury in the sense that NIHL relies on there being... loud as fuck things around to wreck your shit with (speakers, guns, etc.) makes me feel so wretched for some reason. like yeah I know I'm "not alone" but I feel alone with regards to all my Guys. like, my philosophers, my writers, my thinkers, my analyzers. where's the Abject Theory of Tinnitus. Where's the metaphysics of ringing. it's not quite Deafness so I'm not talking about Deaf scholars. like how do I theorize My Friend 16khz.
hi pookies, hope everyone's having a beautiful saturday. hopping on here real quick as i would love some more hockey moots before the season starts up again.
some quick info about me:
i'm ness, 25+ and currently live in the uk but moving to canada next year. my fave team is the leafs (i'm deep in hell atm and suffering greatly) but i also love the pens and sharks. a casual enjoyer of the avs, canes and canucks too. also planning on following more of the pwhl next season and the eihl/nihl (go mk lightning and nottingham panthers).
my messages are always open if y'all wanna hop in and crash out or yap for a bit bc there's a good chance i will join you in that.

Hey Hockeyblr.... did you know we have hockey here in the UK? Wild. I know. My local team (The Swindon Wildcats) are in a bit of a bind... See the room at the rink, where all the machinery is stored, like generators that give our rink power, got flooded. Just before the start of the season. This is what our rink looks like rn.
Yeah, the pictures pretty dark, because there's no power. Here's the thing, Ice hockey in the UK has NO MONEY. Because it's a niche sport. So finding the funding to keep going is super hard - the actual team (The Wildcats) are doing ok, because other teams in the league and teams in the league above ours are being super awesome and loaning us their rinks for games and practices, but you want to know who's suffering... THAT'S RIGHT IT'S THE TOPCATS our women's team have NOTHING right now (and many MANY of those girls (and I say girls because a lot of them are u18) are members of our national squad!). Also suffering are our second team and any of our juniors teams who have nowhere to practise. You know where this is going. Here's a gofundme link. If you can spare even a small amount, that would be ace <3 https://www.gofundme.com/f/cats-together-swindon-wildcats
