I’ll never forget the day I interviewed #aaliyah… we were at the #clearchannel#q93 studio on Gravier Street on a hot summer afternoon in 1997. She walked in with her parents wearing a really cute tennis dress, a baseball cap and dark shades. She was super sweet, humble, soft spoken, yet very professional. We talked about the success of her debut album Age Ain’t Nuthin But a Number, told her my fave was “At Your Best” and how it made me think I could sing…we talked about her current project which was One in a Million produced by Timbaland & Missy Elliot… I remember Aaliyah smiling when I complimented her on her music videos and mentioned how dope the creatives were! And that Missy remix of 4 Page Letter!!! Hotness! R Kelly was not discussed. After the interview, she thanked us for supporting her music, gave me a hug and we took this photo.
