i saw your post about staff removing your olympics gifset for copyright violation. can i ask about new developments or if it got resolved at all? literally the same thing happened to me, two of my gifsets got copyright claims by the same person (Jonathan Friend) so any insight or advice on this would be helpful!
Hi. it's sad that the same thing happened to you 😑😑
I've made this post you mentioned, and then I've talked with @tohmura about this whole situation... He decided to appeal to Staff (because his post also was removed) and got an answer. They can review again removed post if you send them your name, phone number, adress... Like what the fuck? Why need such details like that?
But even before @tohmura received this message, I decided to do nothing. I've heard that if you appeal they may delete your blog then - they may check other posts you've created (and there may be posts that somehow are copyrighted by others). So I didn't wanted to tempt faith.
@tohmura send me a copyright note to put in the blog description - it could reduce the risk of getting copyright claimed again in the future. So I put it in my blog. That's all I can do. And I think you can put this note on yor blog too. - it won't harm.

So, since they removed my post - I have an 18 months trial. If someone report another my two posts due to copyright voliation, my blog will be deleted. And I won't be able to create a new one. So, each time I create a new gifset, my hand shakes while hitting "publish" button. I've put a lot in this blog, and I have a nice community here, with whom I share similar interests. It would suck if my blog would be deleted permanently.
