Sphinx: My Character asking yours a hard question
Kate may have been out of the hunting game for almost ten years now, at least officially. But that didn't mean that Kate still couldn't track a Supernatural creature from Country to Country and take the liberty to plunk herself down beside one at a Bar. And that was exactly what Kate did that night, giving the radiant blonde a small half-smile as she ordered a shot of Jack.
"I don't think I really need to tell you who I am..." The Hunter began, and the Hybrid simply perked up in her seat and straightened her spine. Kate peered down into the surface of her alcohol, her gut churning like a wild day at sea. It was hard enough for her to ask for help from other people, let alone strangers. But this was the one question that she had been asking herself ever since she found out just what Caroline was.
"I need to ask you something, something pretty important." Her voice was gravelly, giving way in the middle of the sentence. She didn't bother to look over at Nikki for approval, she simply tilted her head back and downed the contents of her shot glass.
"You've got some similarities to my daughter... Chances are she will live a lot longer than I will. And lately, I've been thinking more and more about this..." It took all of her strength to turn to face the other woman, her own blue eyes never breaking eye contact with Nikki.
"Will she hate me...? Will she find me weak for being a human?" She said bluntly, and within a few seconds Nikki's eye contact flickered as she glanced towards the bar.
Kate didn't need anything else. Nikki had basically just confirmed her deepest fear. Caroline would hate her, simply for being a woman... With flesh, blood, insecurities and scars.
"Thanks for the drink..." She grumbled, putting a twenty down on the bar and storming out.
