A hawk in my tree this morning🤩

Last week I was out of town for camping, despite and because of 2020 related anxieties. I imagined I would not get another opportunity, so I took it (and every conceivable precaution).

We set up camp in Banning State Park (which will have its own photo post later) but on Tuesday, we made a day trip up to Tettegouche SP on Superior’s north shore. It’d been on the bucket list for a decade and a half!

We had to move quickly and dodge crowds, but overall it was a lovely experience that really required more time. Thankfully I’d finally bought a Nikon D3500 camera, and, though I’m still not familiar with it, took some decent enough photos with it. Far better than the phone camera, at least!

These views courtesy of High Falls and Two Step Falls on the Baptism river, as well as north shore overlooks via Shovel Point, featuring distant views of Palisade Head and the Sawtooths.
