Okay, so Ive just started getting into otome games, and have only played three so far, but Ive been noticing that in all of these the protagonist's featured hobby/skill is always cooking. And. Im kind of getting bored of that tbh.

Like. Im not opposed to a protagonist who can cook, or has a feminine skill set or something. But I feellike if we were filling out a character profile form, "cooking/baking" is always the one in the Hobby portion.

Im not saying i want them to be explicitly bad at it either (though u feel that would be fun too). Id just. Like some variety ya know. Like, maybe she's an artist or musician, and she's really good at it. Maybe she's very active and does all kinds of sports. Maybe she learns languages in her spare time. Maybe she collects bugs. I dont know.

Maybe they dont want to give the SI protagonist too many distinct characteristics but if thats what we're going with i dont relate to being good at or enjoying cooking at all so 🤷.

This is probably not the case for all otome, and ive only played three so far, so really this is just me complaining a little.
