It’s hard to give an opinion when I don’t have much things about it other than, it was okay? Not that Surandigit was bad or anything it was just... not that great either?
The game itself is just average, not bad, not good, but that middle area where it’s just okay. I feel like my expectations of this game was really hyped for something and it just never came to deliver the goods.
I feel like I enjoyed the heroine x sub character interaction more than the main characters, and in a sense I felt that the sub characters had more interesting background story than the main pursuing characters.
I said before that the character sprites were the saving grace but I kind of want to take that back now. I feel like I’ve seen the same character sprites but they weren’t the character? In some ways it was them but sometimes the eyes felt different, or their face shape, or just the way they stand just made them look like different people? It was weird for me... or maybe that was just me?
Over all, it’s an average game with average characters. It’s nothing grande or small, it’s just that “okay” game.
Ousuke turned out to be a pretty nice guy? Kind of surprised? I expected some sort of princely ore-sama but, turns out it went to another direction hahahaha.
I don’t think I could find the trigger or the cause that made Ousuke like Hiroka but the story was kind of sweet.But I’m still a little confused on that instant attraction... I thought maybe it had something to do with the background history or something but nothing really happened.
I think it was an okay choice to leave him till last as it does sort of “resolve” things? But not really...
Good End was okay, nothing really spectacular. Ousuke had the best CGs out of the characters I’ve seen, probably because 1) he’s the cover boy, 2) he’s number 1 and 3) I think they planned him as the ultimate boy to choose over?
Bad End was okay, not as interesting as Mitsu’s or Yuuhi’s but it was a sad ending for Hiroka.
Wow... just, what is going on in this game? Honestly I’m kind of shocked how the Bad End got to that point? Never in a 100 years would I have expected that. Seriously is this Surandigit or did I read the title wrong, for real this is weirdly similar to another game.
Still, with that said I did enjoy the main? Sub? Story for Mitsu’s story line. I’m slightly confused as to what to call it as it involved the sub characters more than Mitsu but still a part of the main story so... ? ? ?
Good End was the same as all the other characters I’ve seen, which is just at that okay level of standards. But I reckon this game just brings the most in the Bad End. I kind of wish they put in a bit more effort into the Good End as well...
I seriously thought I was having a repeat of Keitaro route but it turned out differently so I guess that was that. I don’t know if it’s just me but I kind of thought the story seemed a bit messy? There were a lot of things that was happening and coming into the plot and I just didn’t expect it to be on Yuuhi’s route.
Character wise I think I’ve enjoyed Yuuhi the most so far, I really liked his shy and nervous sweetness. I think around the end where the plot twist happens it felt like I knew why he was acting that way but it was due to something else, and that seemed kind out of random? Why add it here but not in the other routes? Also, why was this kept pretty much sleeping till like the end of the story?
Though it sounds like I didn’t find it interesting, there were a lot more things we found out about Hiroka’s family which was a big plus to me. But you kind of figure it out real quick along the way from other character’s route so it wasn’t that big of a deal for me.
Good End was alright, the CG scenario was cute so I don’t have much to say but that it was okay. The Bad End was sort of “meh”, I just thought that if you’re going to give another mystery or some secret you should keep it entertaining and make people want it more?
I’m able to finish a single route including both good and bad endings in like not even half a day? And I can even enter a decent amount into the 2nd chapter of the next route before I even let my Vita down to charge.
Kind of like the pace so far 'cause I want to start another game pretty quick.
It was going real fine until that twist in the story. I kind of wished it stayed a bit sweeter than turning out to be darker than you’d expect. Not that it was bad but it reminded me a wee bit too much of another game so... was a bit taken back.
I think so far I like how the Shichihara family runs their family. I was a bit confused as I felt like they threw in a lot of things in for this route, like his personality and ability.
I can’t say much for the endings because I really didn’t think much of it, but both the good and bad endings were just sort of “meh”? Not that I didn’t care how they both turned out, but there was a few things unloaded here which I felt like we should’ve gone deeper into.
All in all, it was an alright route. Left me wanting more of the background story than the actual events of this route.
At a point in Meguru’s route I was really questioning what genre this game really is, when exactly does his “rough play” exactly end. Eventually he came around and I think that when and why everyone started falling for him. It’s a trope that works and gets people all the time.
The appeal for Meguru is there but I think the build up to get to that sweet point really wears people out... I seriously felt like he was really mean and cruel at the beginning. I possibly couldn’t have felt much for him if they hadn’t paced this out a bit to really work on his character a bit.
The Good Ending was alright, but the cold, despair grasping Bad End gets the cake. It’s way more dramatic and had at least an impact.
On a side note, I think Hiroka worked a bit more in this route. I wasn’t as disappointed as I was in Takaki’s route but she was at least giving out something in this route.
Been a long while since I’ve played an otome game... seriously how long has it been since I picked my Vita up?
I heard this was going to be a quick one and I think that was the main reason why I picked it but I kind of regret it and kind of not...?
Story
Still a bit hazy and vague because it’s just the first character of pursuit, but I feel like the way they explained how Reisaki Family’s relation to the Number Family was a bit dull. There’s nothing wrong with how they came up with it and how they explained it through the game but it just lacked something.
As for the place of setting in the game, if it’s set in a school I expected some adorable school scenes or at least a moment of that good ol’ heart skipping scene with the character you’re pursuing. I don’t think I saw much, or at least a few at all? I think I saw more group moments than anything... which is fine, but I guess I expected more from a school setting.
Also, I thought Takaki had this really dramatic past but it was just... won’t get into it because it’s spoilers but honestly I felt sort of bad but not as much anymore after finding out a few things.
Battle scenes weren’t that much either, too quick nothing dramatic just quick cuts and dull ends. Not that I expected much afterward a while but I had a teeny tiny bit of hope. It didn’t deliver.
System
Simple, straightforward and really nothing new.
One thing I liked is that the names weren’t stated about the dialogue but on the side with different colors which felt like a nice touch? I also liked how the auto flow tag showed changing numbers and didn’t just disappear after a few seconds.
Although I may have liked the a few things from this UI layout it didn’t stop from making me feel like some parts felt really lazy. I feel like they could have spent a bit more time on it just to make it not feel too sharp edge cuts and blocky? just a bit more of something would have been nice.
Characters
I expected something different from Hiroka. I won’t lie she literally just wanted to either go back to her dorm to sleep or get away from doing stuff because she wanted to nap. But she does have a sense of justice or righteousness? Protecting a friend which I felt was a brave act and deserves a moment of appreciation but I feel like I was irritated at a certain character that I felt could’ve effected me into feeling this way.
I didn’t feel any character development from Heroine so far, but rather the story moves brisk because the characters don’t do much? I feel like the sub character interactions were more interesting and entertaining than the ones with the pursuing characters. I won’t lie, the first character I went for was kind of... dull. Like, really, dull.
Hopefully with the second character there’ll be a bit more to work with and get me back on that otome game focus again, or else I might just take another break.
Music
I feel like I’ve only heard one BGM for the majority of the time in my first route? I don’t think I find anything special about the tracks I’ve heard in the game, they’re not bad but not that great either?
As someone who really enjoys OSTs and BGMs of movies, games and etc, the tracks I’ve heard in the game were just okay.
Art
Definitely the biggest selling point had to be the character designs. I don’t think this game could’ve sold as much if it weren’t for Melo’s character sprites.
The CGs were alright, it’s the scenario that kind of brought me down about the game. I kind of wished there were more CGs but we’ll see how it goes for the rest of the characters.
Overall the saving grace of this game so far are the character sprites and CGs.
I feel like we had a more interesting approach by one of the sub character than anything while in Takaki’s route. Everyone else felt more entertaining than Takaki himself. At this point I don’t even know if anything really did happen at all? I seriously thought he had some deep background story that was dark and he had to keep it to himself or else, but honestly after finding out what it was I felt so let down.
Can’t say I enjoyed the Good End at the least, I expected way more from Hiroka. WAY. MORE. Such a let down... I knew the it wasn’t going to be a great one but honestly I feel so let down. The Bad End was more interesting than anything I’ve seen in Takaki’s route.
