A little ficlet written for @s-assy-girl and her amazing OCs
There was a sharp intake of breath as she realized what he had done. Yin stared at the young man in front of her, she couldn’t look at him and his stupid perfect face though, it hurt too much. Hina sat to the side, though there were no words, her eyes said it all, ‘I’m sorry.’ Golden eyes just stared back, focusing on the woman she viewed as family instead of the one who ripped her world out from under her. Yin couldn’t figure it out, where did she go wrong?
“I don’t get it…” Yin had never been known to sound meek and unsure, bossy and edgy yes, but not even her closest friends had ever heard her voice so insecure.
“Yin, it’s not you,” Hina tried to reach a hand but Yin slapped it away with a snarl, golden eyes narrowed in anger borderlining on hatred.
“You helped him! You knew what I planned! You knew how I felt and You! Still! Help Him!” Yin’s shoulders slumped forward and her voice softened, “We’re supposed to be a team, Hina. Why would you do it?”
Nilam winced, he couldn’t stand watching the woman he cared bear the responsibility for his decision, “ It just wasn’t meant to be Yin. It has nothing to do with you.”
Yin shoot up, tears brimming in her eyes, “You never really loved me,” For the first time, she directed her words at Nilam, “did you?”
He didn’t get the chance to respond before she fled from the table scattering the game across the table. Nilam stared at the wreckage of Yin’s rushed getaway and sighed, “ She really doesn’t take losing well.”
