LGBTQ+ Artist Shoutout 🌈✨

One of the people that inspires me most in this world is the lovely Nille, of Nilleillustrations over on Instagram.

She does amazing art, fairytale themed pieces, LOTS of lgbtq+ pieces, and ofc a mix of the two!

She also wrote and illustrated a beautiful book called The Wish, which you can find in her bio on Instagram, and also posted in her feed.

It’s about a wlw family and their journey to become moms, based on her and her wife’s recent journey to have their beautiful daughter.

I met Nille at Banzaicon years ago, and she, with the amazing Tab Kimpton, had an amazing panel on lgbtq+ rep in kids cartoons, and I was sold forever, on them both.

This one is one of my all times favs of her’s, so much so that I actually have it hanging in my apartment!

I’ve been meaning to start doing these types of shoutouts lately, and as I’m, what, 5-6 followers away from 4K, I really feel like it’s time to start using this space for more positive things! I really can’t think of anyone better to be first that wonderful Nille!

I met her last year at Banzaicon in Norway, where I bought this amazing Louise print from her, and attended her talk with @tabkimpton (insta) about lgbtq characters in childrens cartoons, and her art always makes me feel happy and calm, and I love that.

Her art is not just extremley beautiful and original, but she also makes a lot of lgbtq art, including wedding cards, new-parents cards and generally art featuring lgbtq couples, which is very, very needed, not just i Norway, but on a world basis.

So, please, do check her out, both here and her Instagram, she ships worldwide and posts process pieces and new art frequently, and on top of it all you know there is truly a wonderful person behind the art, which is amazing! <3
