Nino and Alya win a pool resort holiday in a raffle, but Alya has to go to something with Marinette, so she can’t go. Adrien can’t either. Marinette suggests that Luka comes along instead, and at first he’s chill and totally down with it, but they get there and Nino gets SO into the activities only to end up sulking that his girlfriend isn’t responding to his 27 holiday photo commentary messages By the end of the day. Sneaky Nino checks Luka’s phone and finds out Marinette’s been DMing him abt their whole experience while Nino has heard nothing. He gets suuuuper hotheaded abt it and sad but Luka’s trying to explain that he spoke to Marinette and she said Alya‘s phone was out of commission. Nino’s like ‘wooooow so you’re lying for them too huh’ ??
The one thing Luka is NOT is a liar (well, if he has a choice) and he actually gets super agitated but he can’t make Nino listen to him so he’s just there in open-mouthed shock. Anyway, they both kinda split off to different parts of the resort, but it’s party night, so they keep getting free drinks offered to them. Luka has to vehemently refuse on a loop while trying to get through the crowding, partying holidayers, and Nino just straight up sits at the bar and accepts whatever.
Luka gets kinda worried after he goes back to the room and Nino’s not there, so he goes looking for him. Finds him grumpy, arms folded on top of a makeshift throne with a bunch of fruit hampers because he won another raffle. In the middle of all of that.
Nino rants to Luka about how he planned all this cool stuff w Alya, like ziplining and limbo or something, shopping, pool days, and Luka’s like ‘you can still go and do those things together’. Nino’s like ‘no, bro, you don’t get it. I was gonna pull out a ring on the dance floor all smooth . I was gonna get them to play our funky dance song and then just get her with this’ and shows Luka a big ol’ ring box.
But the ring isn’t there, so they both get down and start looking for it, since Nino’s sure he wouldn‘t have dropped it anywhere else.
Anyway, tropes, tropes. Luka finds it and asks Nino if it‘s what he lost, but when Nino goes over to look, it literally just looks like Luka’s proposing, so of course the crowd reacts to that. Resort takes a photo. Photo somehow gets to Alya and Marinette the next day, who are having breakfast. Alya loses her shit laughing, and Marinette is just like ‘how in the-‘.
