XBLA Mini Review – Nin2-Jump
Price: £3.39
Description: A 2D action platformer starring a ninja, but set in a world made up of Japanese shadow puppetry. Use jumps, a hook shot and mystical ninja powers to run through the levels as fast as possible.
Like it:
The shadow puppet art style is amazing.
Speed platforming is always fun.
Loathe it:
The art style is great, but makes it awful hard to see what's going on.
Constant 'kwaiiness' grates horribly.
Worth a purchase?: Basically, this is a nice looking plaformer but, the art intrudes so much it makes the game damn near unplayable. Add to this the slightly odd physics and annoying soundtrack and you've got a game that very few will find fun and will stick with for longer than a few minutes.
Rating: 2/5
Available on: Xbox 360
