Book 41 of the 50 book challenge. Forty Autumns by Nina Willner. Forty Autumns is about a family split apart by the Berlin Wall and East and West Germany from 1949-1989. The Author’s mother was the oldest daughter of a family of 9 children in East Germany where after WWII they were cut off from the world. It’s a very interesting book, the oldest daughter left before the walls went up, met and married and went to the US. The rest of the family stayed in East Germany.this book talks about the families lives. I highly recommend it.
