Surprisingly enough, this is purely coincidence!
I only knew temmie before Undertale from her short film Potion Shop from checking out Crowne Prince talk and breakdown of the animation and I just decided to go check it out. I absolutely loved it but I didn’t check out her other stuff (I have no idea why hhhh)
It was a while (maybe a year?) after the release of Undertale that I realized the person who helped out with the art is the same as the person who made that short film which I found was amazing. (again, I didn’t look at any of her other works. I was more like “Oh cool!” and kinda went about my day)
It was only after her game Escaped Chasm came out that I forced myself to just look at her stuff and stop procrastinating on it. Her stuff is just so freakin amazing.
I do understand how my art can resemble her art style (like the eye shape and some ways of how bodies are drawn) and I’m pretty surprised too!
The way my art style developed overtime is by incorporating things from what I see and enjoy looking at which (for humans) are things along the lines of artwork from Deep Sea Prisoner games, and the animator Munji. Personally, I don’t force my main subconscious style to change, but rather let is grow and change overtime as I learn. Soo I guess it grew into styles similar to those stated along with some extra twists!
I feel styles are forever changing, whether you like it or not. It can even drastically change from month to month, heck I feel my style keep shifting little by little each year!
from late 2018 (december)
Soo yea a lot changes and refines over time! (cough don’t mind all the danganronpa art. Its all the humans I drew back then.)
I know this has pretty much nothing to do with Haunted Hearts but I thought it might help since this is a comic and art blog.
Thanks for the question @ninadroidlord !
