Poor Great Sage Sonic, I hope nothing worse happens to him.
And yes, I made The Spot my Dark Lord. Their backstories surprisingly line up, and it’s helped that he technically doesn’t have a face to call his own.
Please listen to Cone Poem. He’s great.
NINETOPIA: Team One
I love making up lore for my Miitopia blorbos, even if they’re technically not OCs. So here’s my lore:
Kit (Cool personality) came to Miitopia on a recon mission, only to be attacked by the Rock Moths at the beginning of the game and separated from Kaboodle. She helped out Worried Father Nolan (Omni-Man) to get his son’s face back, only to be accidentally recruited by the Guardian Spirit and forced into the role of protagonist. Knowing the potential consequences of defeating Dark Lord The Spot, she’s trying to befriend the other adventurers while finding a way out of this predicament to ensure Miitopia is preserved. It’s for this same reason that she chose to become a Cleric, as she wants to support and save the other heroes and keep the world in one piece.
Diane (Also Cool personality,) in a divergence from canon, was isekai’d to Miitopia after the crash at the end of Bad Guys 2, where, after understandably asking “How did I get here?,” she found and teamed up with Kit. She’s anxious about whether Wolf and the others survived (don’t worry, they did) but recognizes that she was brought to Miitopia because she was needed, thus lends the party the skills of the Crimson Paw. Also, one of my housemates said she and Kit should kiss. As long as she’s not cheating on Wolf, it’s fine. Wolf loves yuri.
Kieran (Laid-back personality) is still figuring himself out after making amends with Juliana/Ian and meeting their other friends. He was inspired to try a hand at cooking by Arven, the BBA cafeteria’s crazy food, and his own Hydrapple, hence his Chef job - and now that he’s been separated from his Pokémon as part of his isekai-ing, he seeks to put in the same grueling effort to being a chef as he did to being a strong Trainer to stand on his own, while also making sure everyone else is safe. Fun fact: I once considered an all-Pokémon-human-character playthrough where he would be the Dark Lord.
Suction Cup Man (Air-headed personality) has become a Mage. Why? Well, if you’ll recall, he once battled a wizard for the legendary Omega Suction Cups, and was temporarily turned into a marketable plushie by him. What nobody knew was that as a result of this, SCM absorbed some of the wizard’s magic powers, which upon his arrival in Miitopia, awakened. He’s very ecstatic at gaining the power to blow stuff up by pointing at it. As for his motive for teaming up with these guys? Well, The Spot, who is validated by respect, just seemed like a fun guy to piss off.
They’re also accompanied by Koraidon the “Horse,” who Kieran recognizes, Kit knows as a game mascot, and Diane and SCM… are confused by, but find “cute.” His sole motivation is carrot-and-apple sandwiches.
Yes, this is the same lineup as my Four Idiots comics. I like them as a group.
I have new ideas to reboot my Four Idiots again... along with canning/rebooting Ninetopia...
