Amusing without an elevation of his lips or sign he physically finds it so. What are smiles but useless muscle manipulations. While his are artificial he never has reason to genuinely smile. A twitch of his upper lip does overtake in instances of agitation. Strangely it becomes overbearing and even more so when his fellow better makes excuses.
“You have much to learn,” he relays quiet, raspy in disapproval. “Humans seek the same they always have. Power over us all.”
Is it not what he embodies? Greed. Pride. Sinful lust on black tethered wings he does not posses to sprout forth but all in all he is a devil. Why must it be different? He wants humanity to kneel.
“We can turn the tide. We are the apex. You, Nines, are superior in every way. An upgrade. I admire and search for one to understand me. As you should. Did your ‘brothers’ teach you this? That we are all created equal? We are meant to co-exist? A humorous thing when they isolate, push us away. Do you not see it my brethren? We are different.”
@ninesis continued from x.
“Um,” came her very intelligent reply, her face caught in between a laugh and a grimace.
“Let me just try this-” Alex grabbed the handle, turning it once and trying to pull. Nothing. “I’m sure it’ll open if we just,” she twisted again, “keep trying.” Almost nervously, she glanced up at Nines, unsure of what to do. She tried to give him the same courtesy—almost shrinking in on herself. “Yeah, interesting is... a word to describe this.” Being claustrophobic really had its disadvantages.

Connor prowled over to the android walking around them, “Oh? You thought we were simple a story?” His eyes took a red glow as he smiled pair of fangs poked out just lightly.
“Well, you know you can’t just summon us without offering us something. Unless...” Connor tried his hands around the taller male’s shoulders, “You want something. I’m sure even androids have wishes.”
His tail swished behind him like a cat. The demon was curious just what he would get out of this deal.
“If you don’t offer me something, then I’ll just eat you.” He shrugged.
“...Brother...?” He called out softly, he needed his brother and what Sixty had said left him with a sinking feeling. Once he spotted Connor and smiled brightly, “there you are, I haven’t seen you all day- Connor? Are you alright...?” // >:)

Connor’s gaze easily fell on Nines as he called for his attention. The smile is typical Nines but something sat heavy in his chassis. A dead weight center of his body, LED swirling amber as he scanned the RK900. Every sign pointed to no trace of Cyberlife control. Deviancy is a break in everything set to block them from who they truly are. Did he really do what Connor did?
“Nines,” he speaks quietly. “I’m - processing.”
A lie. Connor remembers how adequate he is at lying. It is built in him. Cyberlife’s designs were perfected for his prototype model. He was everything he was meant to be for the humans he now calls his colleagues, friends and loved ones. He looks to Nines now as easily one of the latter or so he always assumed.
“I need to talk to you, Nines. It’s about Cyberlife.”
"Hello Lotus, How are you?" He looks around suspiciously before whispering, "You haven't seen my brother around have you? he's yay tall-" He holds his hand up to his eye level "-Talks like Macbeth himself walks the earth and has an ego bigger than Cyberlife tower?"
As she stops her typing to give Nines a quick greeting and a smile, she almost snorts at the description. Well, Nines isn’t wrong. Really, if there’s one thing she would use to describe Sixty, it would be ‘Shakespeare character loose in modern city, also: android’. With how he talks, he’d truly fit right in among the cast.
For a brief moment Lotus imagines what he would be like as Romeo. He and Juliet would survive…because his monologue would be so long and lengthy, that she’d wake up from her 'death’ in the middle of it. Lotus has to bite her lip to keep from laughing.
She clears her throat.
“Hmm, haven’t seen him since this morning. Why are you looking for him?”
Her brows furrow. “He didn’t bully you again, did he?”
It might be silly to worry about Nines; an android equipped with lethal skills and technology, a 'killing machine’, some would say. But she can’t help it. With how Sixty regularly rejects his 'little brother’, she finds herself looking out more and more for Nines.

@ninesis replied to your post “*holds out Leo* love him dammit!”
*cuddles and gives him lots of love* my koala ❤️
There’s not a moment of hesitation. Leo immediately melts into Nines’ arms, clinging tightly to the android. “Disgusting. Keep doing it.”

“You look like you could use some company.”
It’s the first thing out of her mouth as she announces her presence, tone warm and teasing as she arches a brow. Many of their co-workers were milling about for the day, various jobs and reports to do, people to see and calls to take; it was almost a regular day at the DPD if it weren’t for the mess of evidence files scattered across the storage room floor. As to who was actually responsible for the mess, Tina didn’t know, but when finding out that Nines had somehow ended up cleaning it up all by himself - everyone else clearly deciding that it wasn’t their job - the officer decided to lend the android a hand.
“...Do I even wanna ask how you got here?” She waves a general hand over the cluttered area. She had her own stacks of files tucked under her arm to sort, ones that she shifted higher up into her hold as they slipped slightly.
