Onmyodo Story Part 5: Meeting a Kunoichi Ninja!

Where I run through a step-by-step session of the Onmyodo card game, revealing the story-like action as it unfolds....

The Aristocrat, still traveling alone, enters the domain of the creepy yokai Nuppeppo via the North River. He first encounters another Mountain, and still has none of the needed Resolve to cross it! (he is not very good w/ Mountains)... With this new Failure, the noble must wait another 7 days before finally making it to the other side of the Mountain!

The week-long delay brings him to the very end of the Tsubame Saru microseason. For each day he spends in this season, he will Lose 1 Tani from his Journey History per Carried Bow!! Not good! As he is carrying one Bow now, he immediately loses 1 Tani (he chooses the very first one) from his History! And that's not the only bad news.....

...as his Traveler Card states, if his 7-Day Fail Effect ever causes him to move into a completely new Season, he will leave the Group. (and since he is the only Traveler, that means the game will end!)

Next, he reaches some Woods (2 Trees), and has no Skill. Certainly not any in his dwindling Training Card supply....Will he Fail one last time?

Luckily, there is a Tani in his Journey History that contains a Skill Reward! To use this reward, he flips the Tani card over, representing the Spirit World taking over that region.

Although this gives him the Skill he needs to pass the Woods, he loses one of the Raijin icons that formed the 3-in-a-row chain, which means Raijin's lightning and thunder storm ends. The weather clears and the Aristocrat's Katana is no long flaming! But good news awaits....

Now that he has successfully traversed the Woods, he meets the cunning Anni, one of the famous Kunoichi Ninja! Anni has very good Traits (though has no Piety) and an interesting ability. She carries a copy of one of the Group's already Carried Items! She decide to carry a copy of the Lantern!.... Will these two sudden traveling companions get along? Will they survive?
