Mawk never believed in a god. He had been to a great deal of terrible places and seen enough terrible things to know that no god worth praying to had ever set its gaze upon this planet. He’d seen men of high station allow innocent people to burn on a pyre, and he’d seen lifelong friendships end...
Mawk has been roaming the country for twenty-five years looking for the one thing he believes can save the world from injustice. It’s only ever mentioned in legend and in ghost stories, but he knows it’s out there, and if he doesn’t find it, then things are only going to get worse.
Join me in my newest started series, a samurai western set in the near future. I know this isn’t cosmic horror, and anyone following this blog has likely come to expect cosmic horror, but I trust that fans of my writing style won’t be dissapointed with this new beginning.
I do want to recognize the Edna series here real quick though. I am 65,000 words into that story and have recently hit a bit of a brain blockage, but have also possibly worked my way out of that slump. If it starts picking back up at a nice pace I’ll start posting it again, until then don’t hold your breath for any more Obelisk.
