So, ah, back in the day there was this horrifying-looking otome game... It’s dead now, but I happened to see it in old APK listings, and the summary was like “you’ve lost your memory and you were brought into this gourmet place as a maid and food” 

FOOD.

Now normally i would assume it’s kinky kind of food play or something, but the terrifying art had me concerned that food literally means food D: 

But well, as it turns out the actual in-game art is not as terrifying as the promo art. It’s apparently gory because the plot involves a murder mystery? And not... because there’s Hannibal Lecter-esque unpleasant activity going on D:

There's a strong lotus motif going on in this game. I wonder if they're being punny with the title, then. If all the dictionaries are right in giving the reading as "Sengoku Renge no Mai", it could be. Renge = lotus, albeit written in different kanji as the title.

Beuh?? Mitsunari??? So now we have Sasuke, Yukimura, and Mitsunari... Are they just new rotes or are we gonna do a season 2? 

Who's number 4? Sakon? Akechi? Mouri? 

Gotta be the sparkliest Mitsunari in otome I've ever seen, tho.

This Hide is characterized as “mysterious”, and it’s honestly not just strange, but also a bit creepy. His face has this “I know something really sinister and I won’t tell you about it so I can laugh at your misery when all hell breaks loose” vibe.

It’s even worse that I can’t read a word of the text, because ALL his other expressions are equally creepy, if not even creepier. Oooh, his smile is totally a serial-killer smile *shudder*

I feel so underdressed next to beautifully-clothed Hide... I have lots of spare "rin"s (the in game currency) to gacha clothes, but this is an Arithmetic game. The gacha can and will drop repeat items. I don't wanna spend money to buy wardrobe space expansion TT____TT And tossing out the repeat items don't do much good 'cause I have less wardrobe space than the total available gacha items. Ugh. ARITHMETIC FOR GOODNESS SAKE CONVINCE YOUR PARTNER TO LOCALIZE THIS TO ENGLISH BECAUSE I WANT TO ENJOY HIDE'S ROUTE WITHOUT HAVING TO TRANSLATE IT SCREEN BY SCREEN AAAAAAA My learning Japanese is not progressing as fast as I would like it to be.
