vines are the worst, because you used to scroll down and it would pause itself. now… fuck it just keeps playing

yeah that also causes issues with view counts (esp loops for vines) because you essentially are racking up views/loops from people who haven't actually WATCHED the video just because of autoplay

eventually we'll probably reach a point where views aren't even remotely the most reliable indicator of how popular a video is

I never even noticed that! (then again i dont really watch the videos at all)

normally i don't watch most of the videos on my dash but now it's almost impossible for me not to because of the autoplay thing

i always end up unmuting it because i can't stand to see what they're doing and not get the full context

which sucks because the reason i ignore a lot of those videos is because they often have content that either bothers me or just bores me to tears

it sucks for vines and it sucks for videos i'm kind of shocked that it even got approved
