“INVESTIGATION” (pages 175-176)
In the picture of the map above, you can see the details of my findings about this geological structure. First, the areas that are marked with red X are those that caused water contamination of certain water bodies around it. Most of these are factories, mining areas, and power plants such as Coal Power Plant, Cornhead Coal Mine, CQ Coal Mine, Earl’s Fuel Depot, Metal Works, and Purely Plastics. The yellow highlighted areas are those that aren’t affected by the contamination. I have also marked boundaries of uncontaminated water bodies from those that are contaminated due to the said factors. Second, the big arrows labeled “aquifer” is where an aquifer located. The reason of this proposition is that wells are drilled within the area which water comes from an aquifer. Third, the red small arrows that are pointing from east to west is the flow of water on certain areas. Those that are not within these arrows get supply of water from wells and streams. An example of this is the streams that are encircled red. Lastly, in the picture of the table above, I have highlighted the dirtiest and most contaminated water body of each kind. Well M, Spring 1, and River 2 are all of which. Proof of this assertion is the amount of contamination per liter on the water of each kind and the deeper elevation for the well. For now, these are all my conclusions and proofs for this investigation.
