Steph, about the last tweet about mmfd ideas.. What do you think of it? For me, just, don't. hahaha, I think I'm traumatic. It will be awkward as well for the casts to continue since they've been saying it's final (unless it's a reunion for the 10th year). And, why didn't they plan this before? They are being very weird...Of course I'd love to see everyone again, but nope. I was scarred and am healing, don't put anymore salt please. lol
I know, I saw those tweets last night and did not know what tomake of any of it. I was trying to follow the twitter trail to see how itall started to see if that would help me – but trying to follow amillion conversations on Twitter is impossible. Are they just talking about things maybe we want to see on the DVDs oronline (e.g GAG-REEL GIMME!) or are they really considering doing some moreepisodes, or a one-off, or a film?. Ijust don’t know.
And I’ve been workingso hard to accept that ending for what it was – i.e. basically taking series 3,dismantling it, moving the characters around, changing up some of the dialogue,then rebuilding it in my mind. Honestlydo I want more MMFD at this point? I don’t know, will it be like throwing goodmoney after bad?
If I was going to askfor anything it would be for a do-over on series 3 I think haha. Get the Rae going to university storyright. Cut the unnecessary drama,A-levels, pressure to succeed etc… are scary enough. I think I would have had Archie already been at Durham Uni for a year. Perhaps that Rob character (was that his name? He was so flash in the pan I can’t remember) could be a guy he had met there and has come to visit Archie during the summer break. And I would have perhaps made Katie Springer a girl in one of Rae’s classes who had also applied to Bristol. And I would definitely expect to know that Rae and Finn had discussed her ambitions to go to uni, and I would have thought he would have said something about thinking about moving out of home too (I need to be careful, I don’t have the time to rewrite the whole of series 3 right here right now, I’m itching too though)
As the opportunity for this has already passed though, maybe they would do a special of Rae at uni. That way they don’t need to worry about getting all the cast back, and I know I have seen a few comments on here how people might feel better if they could see Rae thriving in the future.
