Can you tell me about your Warden(s) and Leliana and Alistair? How did they fall in love and how to they show it to each other in the midst of the Blight? If Leliana becomes Divine, does her LI join? What about Alistair after DAO? -your secret palentine!
Ahhh! Okay, so Solona is just kind of enchanted by Leliana from the very beginning because she’s all these different contradictions of sweet and innocent but clearly not, like at all, and Amell likes a good complicated puzzle. And she’s pretty. And she likes her hair. And her face. And…
When they first meet, Solona is still suffering from the initial effects of the Darkspawn taint, and tells her she doesn’t want to jump into anything until she’s figured out what’s real, and Leliana is very sweet and understanding and just kinda flirts and comforts her without being too pushy (there is chocolate involved). Solona gives her flowers, and all the best armor, and they both take turns wooing each other for a little bit until Solona feels less overwhelmed by everything that is happening. There is still a lot of giggling (well, Leliana giggles, Solona has more of a low chortling thing going on). And their relationship is kind of open, with Zevran, Isabela, and even Alistair at times (oh, shit, I forgot about Morrigan that one time, too…) because it’s the friggin’ Blight and in dark times, you get comfort where you can. When Leliana leaves at the end of the Blight to serve Divine Justinia, they decide to get married, because they are both sort of anxious about being apart/about the state of the world and their place in it, but still maintain a pretty ‘open marriage,’ and they see each other (and their friends) every chance they get.

My dwarf lady Warden, Nirada Brosca, who I haven’t written nearly enough about, is the perfect foil to Alistair’s sunny (nervous) disposition. She’s blunt and to the point and just wants to get this whole thing over with. She’s so out of her element, and just kind of trying to survive with romance as far from her mind as it can be, that she doesn’t even realize Alistair is pining for her (she just thinks they’ve become super close friends because they are the only Wardens left) until he gives her the rose and Zevran and Morrigan have to pull her aside and explain it to her (Leliana had tried early on, but she kept using weird metaphors and laughing and Nira was like “I can’t deal with you when you’re like this”…). She eventually realizes she feels a lot more for him, too, and by the end of the Blight, Alistair is her boyfriend and they live as happily ever after as they can as Wardens together.
