warnings : kind of sad, angst

would tell you jokes just to see your smile. it's what he's living for at this point. if he couldn't make you happy then he wasn't even sure what he was living for.

kurt wasn't going through the best era of his life at this moment.

you being with him helped immensely. he loved you, there was no other way to say it. he was grateful that you chose him over any other person.

would write songs just for you and would even play them right in front of you. kurt would rush making those songs for you, not getting sleep until 4am just to finish it in time.

you would tell him you loved it every single time and he would just smile weakly at you. after that you would let him sleep on you as he finally got some actual sleep.

if you ever fell asleep on him, he wouldn't move a single inch in fear of waking you up, apart from his fingers caressing your hair. he's hungry? he can eat later. he wants to go to the bathroom? he can hold it in. someone's at the door? they can go fuck themselves.

his top priority is your happiness and kurt would want to sacrifice anything just for you to be happy.

if you liked a different genre of music than him, he would learn everything about your favourite bands/artists from it. if the artist/-s seemed tolerable and actually good he would try to get in contact with them to open for a show for nirvana.

if anything ever happened to you, kurt would just crumble and shatter into dust.

Kurt Cobain -> Crush Headcanons

kurt would be the most low-key person around you. he always was open with you. whenever you two would agree on something or have the same ideas he would check off another positive to being around you.

he valued your opinion a lot. wether it would be to get your opinion on his hair or some song lyrics, he could always count on you.

while nirvana was still starting out, you had come to some of their early shows and kurt was grateful for that. during the shows he would throw some looks over at you once in a while, checking if you were still there or if you were trampled in the mosh pit.

kurt didn't give a singular shit about how you looked. you were still the most amazing person he would look at throughout the day.

man's was a ball of mush whenever you were affectionate towards him. he would just smile sweetly, almost a bit shyly, whenever you hugged him or messed with his hair, any touch in general. melted instantly.

kurt : "i'm so damn exhausted."

you : "you need a hug?"

kurt has to stop himself from instantly saying yes and just rushing up to you. he would just rest his head on your lap as he tried to fall asleep. however he never really fell asleep. he would just close his eyes and bask in feeling your presence and you running your fingers through his hair. he didn't care if he wasn't getting enough sleep, he would never dream of missing out on your touch.

kurt couldn't help but be self conscious around you. you knew he didn't have the best living situation or the best mental/physical health, but that didn't change how you acted around him and he was extremely grateful for that.

that still didn't help with his self doubt though. he hated how he looked after a bad relapse. kurt couldn't even look at himself in the mirror without feeling shameful. he would be even more ashamed if you saw him this way.

thankfully you had, and you had comforted him throughout the whole few days. making him warm meals, watching tv, listening to music, just to get his mind off it.

he just fell harder and harder in love with you. kurt never wanted you to leave him, never wanted to see you with a girlfriend or a boyfriend, because he knew he would be crushed and he'd feel like shit.

however he kept that to himself.

bonus :

while you were nursing him back to health, you could say, you had convinced him to let you paint his toe nails. you had stated that you thought that it would be pretty and that it would fit him. kurt could never resist you and just went with it.

that's how he ended up with a pedicure from you. he thought it was cute that you had concentrated so hard to do them so tidely and with care. how could kurt not show them off?

in a few interviews he had just wore sandals without socks just to show off. kurt purposefully would cross one leg over the other so the pedicure could be seen.
