Alec checked his watch again and since it was past 5pm he sighed, running a hand through his now silver hair, a bored expression covering his face as he waited. He knew Nisa was late and even enough it didn’t matter much since it was in his best interest that the two of them went out, still he felt bored. The weather didn’t help at all, the first days of autumn being weirdly hot, making the light coat he wore stick to his arms in an uncomfortable way.
“damn girl I’m leaving you next time and will just bring the bill for you to pay you know” he texted her as a reply to her dramatic emoji saying she was just leaving the dorms.
He was sure she just apparated behind him, giving Alec the scare of his life and he nearly grabbed his heart through the thin layer of clothing. Cursing under his breath he just shook his head while she seemed to be having fun.
“I hate you all Hwaseong” he made a face, finally standing up from the bench he had been sitting the past thirty minutes. “I hope Kian make it hurt so I’ll get my revenge.”
As they started to leave school, Alec finally noticed how quiet she had been. “What happened to you?”

nahyun was getting frustrated with this maze. she had entered, thinking it would be a fun challenge to try and find her way through but at this point she was convinced this stupid geumseong house ghost and his delusional self was purposely trapping people in here until they found him and acknowledged his status in whatever hecking battle he was supposed to have won.
cursing in french beneath her breath, the girl debated to herself if she should just try to punch a hole into one of the walls or try and blow up the whole place all together. her wand was vibrating in her pocket, daring her to do it but she was only a freshman and not so sure if that wouldn’t get her kicked right out of mokseong again.
hearing footsteps approaching, the girl was hopeful to maybe have found someone who could get her out of here and just like a god-sent gift, she saw nisa approach her. “oh mon dieu- you have no idea how happy I am to see you, eonni.”

— birthday starter for @nisamsu !
growing up, birthdays had never been a big deal in the park household. the last birthday party will remembers having was when he was around ten, and ever since then, they’ve all kind of sucked. sometimes he’d get a gift from cam, though it was usually something super inexpensive or some “treasure” that he found somewhere. they meant the world to will and he held on to every single one, but it wasn’t enough to make him look forward to his birthday. for the most part, it was just another day. him surviving another year wasn’t special... it got to a point where celebrating seemed entirely unnecessary. birthdays just weren’t all that important. or so, not for his small family at least.
for almost everyone else he met, it wasn’t like that. birthdays, for them, were exciting and fun and it was a day for them to be appreciated, loved, and showered in attention. must be nice... he didn’t want to seem like he didn’t care. nisa meant enough to him by this point that he wanted to prove it to her. he didn’t want to be the only one of her friends that didn’t give her anything. though, it was extremely obvious that he couldn’t afford to buy her any fancy gifts, so he was going to have to give her the disgustingly cliche and probably totally not awesome gift of... himself. his time and a memory was the best he could offer.
even after accepting that, he reached a new problem: he has no idea what to suggest. what do normal people like to do? wait— better question... what do magical people like to do? obviously he was one, but barely, so he had no freakin’ idea. the best he could do is come up with something that would be fun for himself and hope for the best, but that hardly seemed fair. what if she wasn’t as much like him as he initially figured? however, he had no other options.
they’re both always up for adventures, and with their interest in the supernatural, he thought it’d be fun for then to try spending the night in the forest... camping... ghost hunting? it’s something he hasn’t done in a while ( the camping, that is ), at least leisurely, and it felt exciting. nisa seemed like the kind of person to enjoy this kind of thing, so he went out on a limb and asked. lucky for him, she didn’t turn him down by telling him it was the most unfun thing she’d ever heard of, so that felt like a win. that’s how he ended up standing by the edge of the woods, awkwardly staring down at the ground as he awaited the arrival of the birthday girl.

✘ CLOSED STARTER — @nisamsu
Kevin had no idea how he got here. The silence drove him crazy. He’d wanted to talk but anytime he opened his mouth, he could just hear his mother’s voice warning him not to as a chill ran down his spine. So Kevin sat through the torturous silence, staring blankly at the screen before him. What even was this? Amityville Horror? Children of the Corn? Was there really a difference? He couldn’t take another second of this.
“You come here often?” Finally, Kevin turned to the other besides him to speak. He’d still remained courteous enough to those in their general proximity to whisper, but the boy could no longer sit in antsy silence. He had to say something even if he ended up getting ignored.
Describe yourself in one word!
“powerful.”
What are your hobbies?
“making potions, studying spells and learning as much about magic as i can, taking care of my plants, watching the wee creatures of the forest, using people for my own personal gain, star-gazing... you know, all regular hobbies that i’m sure many people would share.”
What is your greatest strength?
“my greatest strength? well how do you expect me to pick just one? my strengths outweigh my weaknesses by a long shot, i’m not sure how i can single out just one... if you mean in general, then maybe my confidence. i suppose that’d make a ton of sense, right? though my ability to envision a grand future and determination to get there could be fitting answers as well.”
