I've already said most everything I could say about him in this ask - however, I can add more and flesh out some facts!
There are some spoilers here, but nothing that makes an impact on the story, so if you want to be a completely blind reader, ignore this! However, Nischal is more of an emotionally important character, so these spoilers aren't ruining any lore drops that affect the plot. It's just revealing what he's like as a character before you get to organically find out.
Nischal was raised by two mothers! They were forced to be undercover lovers due to the culture of his original isle, but they concocted a plot and escaped to Gailda. They lived openly there, but caused some drama along the way. Nischal loved them very much.
He is gentle with everyone as a default, but he can be versatile too, so if someone wants him to play the bad guy, he'll do his very best. He knows every sex position and kink in the book, and would explore all of them with whoever was interested. He can top or bottom as needed, but he's a caretaker either way. Such a service top that he'll bottom, as they say....
When it comes to Taushin, what makes them so close is how open Nischal is. He doesn't commit to a singular person in his affections, having room for everybody, so it doesn't threaten Taushin as much when he's given special attention. This is part of the secret to staying in his good graces!
He also plays up his playful idiot personality a bit more than needed, because Taushin tends to prefer stupid people, finding them predictable and easy to manipulate. The only times he gets serious is when Taushin starts neglecting his health, or if something triggers an episode.
He's most helpful when Angel and Taushin have arguments, usually being the peacemaker that keeps Taushin from doing anything he'd regret, and keeping Gailda running while he recuperates.
Lastly, he's the happiest person on Gailda and hardly ever feels sad. Even though there's plenty of trauma from his life - and knowing about Taushin's life - he finds what pleasure there is to be had and does his best to spread it around.
