Living in the north of England, I can definitely vouch for the loss of letters and intonation in our accents! It's not too bad for me myself, because I try to speak as 'properly' as possible for performance purposes, but I still catch myself speaking something like "wha do you want with me now you fuckin twa" lmao

It's the exact same up here, haha! I'm really well spoken compared to most since I'm in the central west which has a very strong accent. Very famous for "neds" around here. It's always hilarious comparing accents.
