but yes!!! people can definitely be forcibly treated in all sorts of ways, it doesnt just have to be the extreme of forcibly being shipped off to the psych ward that a lot of people usually associate with forceful treatment. it can be more subtle things too like medicating, etc.

also mentally ill people imo have the right to be wary of treatment because of the abhorrent treatment of the mentally ill even by professionals

yea exactly. i think i put smth like that in there??? just like. professional practices are still really iffy so honestly being afraid of or refusing treatment is not really out of the ordinary nor unfounded imo
