Capri Mermay 2026!

This is a redraw of the mermay lamen drawing I did last year (the pic on the right) :D

This year I challenged myself to plan the poses without tracing a reference, and I want to add depth to the drawing as well, even though I don't think it worked super well. I still used some references and did trace a small section (damen's hand) because I couldn't figure out the angle. I also managed to draw their faces this time!!!!! Which is huge for me personally.

I have procreate this year, so it made many things much easier! For example I no longer need to draw the individual small fishies, phew! I created two new brushes just for this one, one chain brush and one fish brush.

I really really The Breakfast Club, and have always been waiting for a chance to draw this iconic poster pose! I wanted to test out a new art style, so I used a brush that makes everything rougher, and try not to focus on too much details. I decided to dress them in their own rose colors after discussing with my friend! They ended up looking really good 😆

Fun fact, if you squint, you can see kyouya sitting on a stool.

I saw this post the other day, and immediately thought of how fitting it would be to draw Himmel and Frieren Gris (2018 game) style. I didn’t trace anything this time, instead spent 11 hours on this piece and was quite satisfied in the end!
