he spends a lot of time by himself --- not on purpose, but because he’s just a very quiet guy. making friends is hard

loves chilling out in the library to read about conspiracy theories & play video games in peace

if he’s not in the library though he’s definitely hanging out with charla & drew. sometimes it’s shenanigans, sometimes they just chill

works as a training assistant on training grounds #2 specifically to make sure drew & charla don’t kill anyone

also got very good at using his power for their sake. carries around a small backpack to pull weapons out of when he summons them, but the bag is not necessary. it’s just for effect lol

endures the terrifying ordeal of being perceived in exchange for the reward of being loved. it’s an ongoing process

hi this is strud and i haven’t been able to figure out hades until today, so under the cut is a little about his personality and how/why he likes to spend his time at NL !!

obvi, he is king of the underworld, and he’s very proud of that title

he takes his job seriously, but he does have a lot of help down there that allows for things to go smoothly without him actually needing to be there 24/7

he’s in love with persephone, OFC, that’s the light of his life

they’re relationship is very progressive and healthy, however, and after eternity together and catching the hearts of some mortals, they decided to have an open relationship

so during the half of the year that persephone doesn’t live in the underworld, they are free to fall in love w whoeever they feel like, and know that they’ll always come back to each other at the end of the year

he always tries to keep up with his demigod children’s lives, even if he can’t be there all the time for them

he even cares about seph’s kids, and any of his extended family, because family is family!

      ALICE WAS BORN OUT OF WEDLOCK, obviously, like any other demigod because you know how gods just kind of tend to stick it in and leave— typically really fun sad story. but macaria didn’t just let geun-chul stick it before she left, she stayed with him until alice was born. then when alice was born, two months later, she left without a trace and a few notes, geun-chul had a downward spiral then. he had no idea how to take care of alice, but he tried his best.

and his best was enough, even if he wasn’t the perfect father.

alice is a good child, very obedient and respectful. she grew up fine and well-mannered; she’s got a few friends, however life began to be a struggle when her scent was attracting monsters. it promptly left geun-chul to reveal the truth to alice, for her safety she had to be sent to nemean lion.

it was a huge separation anxiety from her dad, but at the young age of ten, she arrived in nemean lion and began her new life there.

she’s rather enthusiastic about it, it’s not everyone who’s part-god and trained to kill off monsters like in video games and stories. so she’s trained as hard as she could despite it being quite difficult that she’d end up crying inside her room. she’s resilient and that’s what matters.

she can barely remember a life where she was normal, she supposed, being demigod was what normalcy was for her.

she’s still kind of getting there, finding out who she is blah blah blah; one thing for sure is that, alice is quite optimistic and bright, you wouldn’t think that her mother’s macaria. she kind of keeps to herself most of the time, she tends to freak out knowing when someone will die. she’s kind of just a smol baby, that doesn’t want to be treated as one, so she tries to come off as a proper adult.

faith is a very affectionate and doting individual. she cares a lot about others to the point of obsession. that being said, she often has her head in the clouds, along with unrealistic expectations for herself and others. another word for this is delusional.

she loves love! her dream is to someday become a wedding planner.

most of her sketches are of fashion ideas -- wedding dresses in particular.

she really likes to dance too! though she enjoys the lounge because she likes to socialize, one can often find her in the gym.

in regards to her madness powers, she has a difficult time controlling it. she likes the presence of calm individuals because she’s very sensitive to others’ energy levels... or so she thought. turns out when someone’s acting off the wall, she absorbs their madness (against her will, for now) and manifests it in herself instead.

her behavior when under the influence of dionysus style madness causes her to be a lot more impulsive and prone to drastic mood swings. she can go from frolicking gleefully to pouting and sulking within a matter of minutes.

she can’t cause people to go mad as of right now -- only herself, sometimes involuntarily. for a hot minute her mother thought she had a mental illness. but nah, faith is technically fine in terms of mental health (aside from codependency issues).

speaking of her mother, the two often clashed when faith was growing up. her mother was an ex-ballet dancer who turned to wine and men after an accident that permanently wrecked her ankle. she’s very against mental health education, saying faith just needs to be more disciplined.

“maybe if you came back down to earth sometimes, you wouldn’t be so overly emotional” is something her mother often said.

faith spent most of her childhood in the dark about her father’s identity. when her mother told her, things started to click for both of them. they realized faith was probably “cursed” with the ability to absorb and inflict madness.

she went to NL at 17 after embarrassing her mother and technical step-father on their wedding day. she doesn’t like to talk about what happened.

she hopes to learn how to better control her power because it causes her a lot of grief.
