pick me and NLTG are being used as buzzwords now and not their real meaning, try to say you dont like make-up without putting other women down and you'll get attacked with posts like: i bet you actually need it, oh you want an applause? so? you're not special. the problem is, every woman's choice is hated no matter what while men's is hardly ever debated. if a girl likes comics she is labeled as a pick me, if she likes makeup she is labeled as stupid. and us women instead of fighting against this, we're enabling it because we're constantly putting each other down. on another note posts that look like pick me or NLTG arent always to put women down, sometimes the pers just wants to express how they spent their life while others were doing something else and it's not to show superiority, sometimes it's to show irony or, damn others did this, while i was still doing that. so sometimes it's the opposite, the og op would mean they feel they were left behind or simply, made different choices or had a realization that things could have been different for them.
